I like it more and more to take picture. It`s becoming a hobby of me.

From time to time i will post pics that i have made here. What i need from you are critics and comments to make better pics the next time. :)

I searched everywhere for the stativ but i couldn`t find it so i had to put my digicam on other objects. Therefore they are not very good.

We have full moon and fog, a great combination :)

If you want to see a pic bigger just tell me which you want.

I think i upload my pics from planes here. I love it to make pics from a plane with 11.000m over ground.

I made this pic during my flight from Frankfurt to Tokyo in september 2003. The most time we flew over Russia. The last pic is over Japan.

Well, I think that there are a lot of great photogs here who dont really have a reason to be jealous. Dont expect everyone who views our thread to respond.

To Tom Green:

Can you please make a post (or a thread, better yet) with all the links to the threads with the pictures you've taken of each locale/region.

For instance, a link to the thread containing your pictures of Dubai, a link to the thread containing your pictures of Hong Kong, etc., all in one post, which you update whenever you have a thread with new pictures from a new locale.

Your pictures are very good. Exceptional - and to me, someone who knows nothing more about photography than your average joe, your pictures are the work of a professional.

I like vibrant colors so its just my opinion that your photos are too dark, but we all have different tastes. If you see my gallery you will see what kind of photos I like looking at and therefore what kind of photos I like taking. Im not saying your photos are bad just that they dont appeal to my taste.

I'm sorry to say so, but your pictures are not that stunning. They're just documented moving lights over water. They are, in a way, very monochrome. The moving fireworks are just a big bright light, actually pretty static also. Your framing isn't that powerful also.

Now don't judge me by the few pictures I have posted that don't really look extremely fabulous, but there's a lot you have omitted to take into consideration, like framing, timing, suggestion... I don't know really, but there's something about the feel of it, it's just pictures.

Sorry if I hurt your feelings, but regard my remarks as being points of interest for future photography, not to break you down.

I am not hurt. I made the pics with a 200€ diggicam, a 10cm tall tripod and on a bridge full of people.

I think you are more interested in making pics of people. I am not interested in this.

I like to make such pics:

This is more like it! Kind of surreal, almost. That's what I like, an alternate reality in photography. Going somewhere around our present reality and discovering a new one. This one goes that way.

Does anybody can tell me how i can make a good pics of firework ?

According to my camera's "user's manual":

"FIREWORKS MODE

This mode allows you to take beautiful pictures of fireworks exploding in the night sky. The shutter speed or the exposure is automatically adjusted for taking pictures of fireworks.

#Technique for Firework mode
We recomend using the prefocus procedure below to ensure that you do not miss the chance to take pictures.

1. Set the [AF TRIGGER] to [FOCUS].

2. Aim the camera at an object (such as illumination on a building), which is roughly at the same distance as the point of fireworks.

3. Press the [FOCUS] button untill the focus indication lights.

4. Aim the camera at the direction where the fireworks will be exploding.

5. Press the shutter button fully when fireworks are exploding.

- When you zoom away from or towards the subject, repeat steps 2 - 5 since the focus position becomes misaligned.
- We recommend using a tripod.
- When the auto focus is activated, the available recording range is 5 m - Infinity (We recommend following steps 1 to 5 to take pictures with prefocus).
- The ISO sensitivity is fixed to [AUTO]
- The settings on the AF assist lamp and the continuous AF are disabled.
- The flash setting is fixed to Forced OFF."

:D
