612bv3 March 27th, 2005, 05:23 AM So whats the biggest freeway in terms of lanes?
It's probably the I-280 and CA-1 in Daly City, it has about six lanes in both sides for about 1 mile.

612bv3 March 27th, 2005, 07:31 AM It can't be England, they're driving on the other side of the road, it's probably Europe.

*NOR CAL* April 9th, 2005, 08:46 AM That would be cool, but have you been hearing about this whole thing and faulty weldings? OMFG NO!! LOL
edsg25 April 9th, 2005, 04:43 PM Is the design for the east span acceptable? yes.
But sadly acceptable just doesn't do the trick at a site that needs, no demands, the best that architecture can create. This is not bold Bay Area thinking and optimism that gave birth to the western span of the Bay Bridge and the GG.
Even at a time when financing is difficult, Oakland and the East Bay deserve a grand entrance from the east span that SF gets from the west. And could that east span be lucrative as well as spectacular? why not. St. Louis has profitted very nicely from its Gateway Arch. Why couldn't a similiarly grand structure in the east span added a visibility to Oakland and the East Bay that would project its image more nationally? Why couldn't it be part of image making for tourists and visitors that says, "there's more that's magical about the Bay Area than SF, Sausalito, Muir Woods, Mt. Tam; there's a whole other Bay Area east of the bay"
612bv3 April 9th, 2005, 10:34 PM That would be cool, but have you been hearing about this whole thing and faulty weldings? OMFG NO!! LOL
Don't remind me about that welding issue, it makes me so mad. http://www.clicksmilies.com/s0105/sauer/angry-smiley-030.gifhttp://www.clicksmilies.com/s0105/sauer/angry-smiley-055.gif
dwrecker June 25th, 2005, 11:43 AM From these pictures, I think you live on the Pennisula!?
The first picture is a huge freeway...never seen anything like it. Also makes me more anxious to see the 20+ lane freeway they are in the process of building here in Houston.....the Katy Freeway(I-10 West)to be exact. It's supposed to have multiple HOV lanes and well as managed toll lanes(camera toll lanes without stopping). I think it will completed around 2007 or so, since they started last year. ONCE AGAIN GOOD PICTURES...I NEED TO COME VISIT CALI ONE DAY :)
