I actually stayed at the Park Hyatt when I last went to Tokyo-its a great hotel!

As far as the building goes-I like it a lot. Excellent signature, the terraced rooftop is cool and the color scheme is fitting.

It's interesting ... it takes some getting used to. At least with three "connected towers" like this, it's a change from the usual rectangular slab that it otherwise would have been. 6/10.

7.5/10 - The roofs actually seem to flow from the rest of the towers, the different heights of the towersand the gradual change from stone to glass on the way up provide variety, and the indentations not only provide contrast but help give the towers some height and make them less boxy than they'd otherwise be.

Now if they could only do something about that cotton'pickin' antenna acne....And maybe vertical mullions instead of spandrels might have given them even better height.

Maybe if it were directly on the water or something. Looks like it should compliment- not dominate- its surroundings. Would look better as one tower- perhaps one very tall one. The lighting and lobby colors are kinda tacky as well......

The overall colour seems a bit drab though - it looks a bit 60s/70s, even though it was built in 1994.

Although it's quite broad, it manages not to look overwhelming nor too boxy.

4/10 Take away the crowns and its just ugly piled on top of ugly being hosed down by some ugly. the crowns don't seem to fit the shaft of the towers at all in some pics and the crowns themselves which desperatly cry to be on a better building aren't doing much for me anyways.
