I have seen this discussed on before, but not to great detail. Is there any way that metrolink, or at least portions of it, could have reduced fairs and operate as frequently as the MTA system? That would be wonderful for traffic, although I don't know how possible it would be.

^ would this result in being able to take, say the gold line to union station and then transfer onto the metrolink and be in media district burbank? Now that would be cool if MTA could intergrate that into the lines. A huge boon for DTLA which has got apt. buildings going up all over the place!

Yeah. The two could remain separate companies, but somehow the rider would only have to pay for one ticket. I don't even know if that would be possible, but it would be a wonderful shot in the arm for LA's transit system.

Surely would make things easier for me each time I go down to LA. :D Sunday service for the Antelope Valley Line.....oooooh how I'd rejoice to see that.....
