Proje alanı konumu itibariyle, Taksim'i Şişli'ye bağlayan Cumhuriyet Caddesi ile Taksim - Maçka bağlantısının kurulduğu Taşkışla Caddesi'nin çevrelediği adada, kuzeyde Hilton, güneyde Hyatt Regency otellerinin arasında, İstanbul Teknik Üniversitesi Taşkışla Kampüsü karşısında yer almaktadır.

Eski Pasteur Hastahanesi olarak bilinen alan, 1896 yılında Avusturya-Macaristan Hastahanesi olarak inşa edilmiştir. 1925 yılında savaş tazminatı olarak Fransızlara devredilerek Pasteur adını almıştır. 1991 yılında faaliyetine tamamen son vermiş olan hastahane ve içinde yer aldığı alan Tekfen Holding tarafından satın alınmıştır.


7.200 m²'den oluşan mevcut arsa içinde, 2. dereceden tarihi eser niteliğindeki hastane binası ve şapel (kilise) bulunmaktadır.

Proje kapsamında, tarihi bina restore edilecek ayrıca Hyatt Oteli ile Taşkışla saçak kotu yüksekliğinde farklı ebatlarda iki blok inşa edilecektir. Tarihi binanın girişine kadar uzanan ön bahçe korunacaktır.

Tüm siteye hizmet edebilecek sağlık kulübü ve kapalı yüzme havuzunun yanısıra, mevcut Şapel önündeki bahçesi ile birlikte cafe olarak planlanmıştır.

Although I like the style of these buildings, I would have preffered something a bit more modern, more use of glass / steel etc.
Having said that, these look as though they'll be very good quality and the interior styles seem very sophisticated.

There are some other areas for modern buildings. Istanbul is a historical city and this is a historical area. Actually they made some mistakes like building modern constrcutions in the history. Ugly TRT building is one of the examples...

This is fun (at least for me)... ;)
Wandering around Istanbul, spotting some buildings or situations that would give a good or maybe a unique photo, pullig my camera out of my jacket, jumping around searching for the right spot to capture the impression, cursing my damn slow camera and getting runned into by people or nearly runned over by taxis... with other words making a complete fool out of my self ( and annoying my girlfriend ;) ) is a lot of fun for me... at least if I'm satisfied with the photographic results http://www.kiki-net.de/smilies/froehlich/thumbup.gif
