tell me please about economic situation in Peru?
Well, overall, the economy is strong, it's growing at an anual 4%...I think little by little things are getting better...we have numerous proyects that will be benefiting the country as a whole.

skyperu34
April 11th, 2005, 05:37 AM
the best proof that our economy is increasing, is that investors look our country as a good commercial destination (as an example., banks well known worldwide such as Citibank or BankBoston); cities in all of Peru are building great constructions such as offices and residentials, a notorious construction boom started 6 years ago aproximately (Trujillo is an example of this benefit)........
Some of the big projects, such as Chavimochic near trujillo, is exporting food products at an increasement of 20 - 30% per year...............
etc etc etc.............. JBlock, continue my resume ...

Mmm...don't exagerate clone...not all cities are building office buildings, and they are certainly nice, but not great constructions..

well, i must have clarified !!! For peruvians, an 8-story building is such a great construction............. On the other hand not all peruvians cities, but a few of them (Trujillo), are reaching a good development in their economies.........

what peruvans think about Israel?

I think Israel is an awesome country, once I met a peruvian girl in the Dutch airport, she was coming from Israel and she had a book filled with pics of your country, it was really cool to see it, the residentials zones near beaches are amazing, everything looks very clean, anyway Im curious about something she told me about Israel, she showed me a pic of a church or something and she said that all the grass I saw in the pic, was fake, it really surprised me, any of that its true... can't remember the name of the place.

DON T WORRY FAYO IT TAKES TIME TO DOMINATE THIS LENGUAJE ITS NOT EASY
TO BE BILINGUAL, BUT AT LEASE YOU HAVE THE INTENCION TO LEARN ENGLISH...
I BET YOU WHIT TIME AND GOOD WILL BY YOUR SIDE YOU WILL SOON DEFENT YOUR SELF IN THIS AREA GOOD LOOK TO YOU AND DONT TAKE IT PERSONAL SOME OF US WANT TO HELP YOU...

...Obviously you have to learn another lenguaje in order to succsess in this new economy where english is the world 's business lenguaje; however, most of this applies for those who are going to be in contact with the globalized world as a business man( in areas like finance, marketing, economy, etc). But what I meant with respect to my last message about the importance of the english lenguaje was that a significative number of people in our country lives another reality that it is not very necessary the use of english and this happens because many people dont have the means to pay for it. So let's be realistic, the importance of english applies for this international forum, turism or high businness, but for the regular peruvian, it's not of such importance.

PEACE OUT.

WOW, Israel is certainly amazing. The Peruvian coast is very similar to Israel, somewaht arid yet with a very fertile soil and mild weather. Currently there are several projects underway for agricultural development all along our coast, and Israeli engineers are very active in counseling Peruvians on how to increase production with restrained water supplies. Very interesting!

Hi Zohar, unfortunately we don´t have many high rises in Lima. I only have this pic taken by me on january. The tallest one is called Chocevento and is the tallest of Peru as well. This pic is from the financial center in San Isidro. I think Skyperu has better pics from this place.

u have more than 2!

skyperu34
April 14th, 2005, 03:04 AM
exactly, some of the the reasons we dont have high rises is mostly due to lack of tecnology in building construction (our economy is not as cool as to invest in super scrapers). ALthough our economy is in a way increasing, there is not enough offices' demand because of some economical crisis during our history, a very common problem specially in latin american countries.
Besides, the reason above is related to the fact that we live in a territory full of earthquakes (such as Japan for a better reference, with the difference that this country produces tecnology and so on....); and all this can be noticed in buildings and architecture...........however, we do have lowrises, but still skyscrapers (according to Emporis even though i dont agree too much); most of our buildings surpass the 20th floor.............

skyperu34
April 14th, 2005, 03:15 AM
After our worst economical crises in the 1980s, a new era started in the economical perspective: several changes into economy placed our country in one of the favorites destinies for investment in Latin America. So we have new and innovating designs home to many important enterprises from Peru and rest of the world..............: Interbank, Citibank, BIF, CF, KPMG, Luz del Sur, AA, Standard Chartered, Wiese and Wiese Sudameris, Banco de Credito.....etc.................All of them, the real proof of this development in our economy, the proof that important firms decided to invest in our country and all this gives us prestige.......

Peru may not be an economic powerhouse, but their people are friendly and willing to help. It does help if you speak spanish but there are translators and you will find even poor people do know basic english. Necessity is what drives. Besides the ample archeological legacy, now i will go out on a limb and say, peru has by far the best food in latin america. If you plan a trip for gastronomical research throughout LA, a stop to Peru is a must. They have the most ample dishes you imagine, from chinese fusion cuisine to seafood dishes. No wonder, Le Cordon Bleu chose Peru as it's gateway to LA by oppening its first school. Others follow, Brasil and Mexico......
If you dont believe me, just google it.
