Yes,but all pabs,clubs,bars etc...full after midnight and till 6 in the morning!
Few streets so crowded like in this pics:)) like tel avivi promenade and Allenbi(near to the promenade)

Since I am from HFA ;), I only come when NEXT productions bring something hot from europe. I don't usually come to the Dome friday line, so maybe you're right there.

With regards to the VOX friday line, I've heard that it's more gay friendly that on average.

Damn gay people trying to take over clubs. :jk:

A new breed of cafe-bars in the Tel Aviv-area offers more than your daily drinks

TEL AVIV - It's 9 p.m. on a cool spring weeknight in Tel Aviv, early enough to go out for a drink, but late enough to keep you away from an overcrowded pub.

You're looking for more action than a sidewalk cafe, and fortunately, a new breed of specialty bars offer appealing alternatives to the city's mainstays.

Drop into Kaiser Soze , a DVD lounge on Ibn Gvirol, for drinks, music and movie rentals. In addition to coffee and cocktails, this popular neighborhood bar offers low-price memberships to rent films from its extensive selection and catalogue. Sip a glass of wine and rest on one of the lounge's comfortable couches as you browse through new releases, foreign films, classics, and independent titles.

"The typical age here is 25-45, and our customers are people who live or work in this area," said owner Avi Azoulay. "Our goal is to be a good alternative to other DVD stores in a comfortable place. Some come to sit, some come to rent, and some come for both."

'It's a great atmosphere'

The bar hosts twice-weekly concerts by Israeli musicians, usually featuring acoustic soft rock or jazz music. A rotating monthly exhibit highlights local visual artists. Computer and Internet service is also available for NIS 10 (a little over USD 2) an hour.

"There's good service, it's a great atmosphere, and they have the new movies I want," said Itamar, 27, a member who lives nearby. "I don't like the corporate politics of Blockbuster, and I prefer smaller places like this."

The bar offers drink specials to members, and during Friday "happy hours" from 3 p.m. until 8 p.m.

"It’s a neighborhood bar where everyone knows everyone," said bartender Ornat, 26. "They rent here because they're your friends. You don't need to dress-up, it's just a fun place to relax. I've seen people here in their pajamas."

Membership costs about 318 NIS for 30 one-night rentals, and 379 NIS for 30 two-night rentals. You can also special-order movies by phone from the store's catalogue.

"They have good translations to Hebrew, which many other places don't have," said Anat, 32 who stopped by to pick up movie for the night.

Another new DVD cafe is 8mm, offering memberships, drinks and a nightly in-store movie screening on its large monitor.

"There's more of a selection available here than at the video machine, and it's a really cool place," said Brigitte, 27, from Tel Aviv.

Sports and entertainment events also are featured on the store's big screen, drawing many customers from the Dizengoff neighborhood around it.

Cutting edge

If you've been wanting to get a tattoo for a while and think you might like a beer to calm your nerves, stop in at Kipod, a new bar across from Dizengoff Center. Kipod provides piercings, tattoos and dread locks to willing customers in addition to drinks on the bar. Weekly parties feature themed music genres, like drum and bass, electronica, reggae and jazz.

"It's great that it's open late," said Anna, 18, who was getting her first tattoo. "That way you can decide to get a tattoo in the middle of the night. There are a lot of people who might want to do that and I'm one of them."

You can choose from Kipod's tattoo catalogue or create your own design.

"I did one here yesterday," said Alex, 18, of Tel Aviv. "It didn't hurt, and Kipod is better than other tattoo parlors. There are good artists, you can smoke inside, and they have better catalogues. It's sababa."

Brighten the day

Bring someone special to the new Flower Cafe in Raanana, which offers personalized flower design as well as coffee, wine and snacks. Choose a unique bouquet and then present it to your date over a drink.

"The cafe adds some flavor to a traditional flower shop," said owner Sandy Shoshan. "It's Kosher, with fresh sandwiches and juices in addition to cakes, cookies, and coffee."
Flowers can be delivered or picked up in the store, which is open Sunday through Thursday, 8:30 a.m. until 10 p.m., Fridays mornings and Saturdays after Shabbat.

Not so long ago high school seniors celebrated graduation night with a small dance in the school gym. But today's proms can set parents back tens of thousands of shekels

TEL AVIV - Should we go to a hotel or a function hall? A Versace or a Prada dress? DJ or live band?

No, these questions are not the sole realm of couples planning to get married this June, but of tens of thousands of Israeli high school seniors, currently completing not only their final year of school, but also plans for lavish graduation night parties around the country.

In the coming month, as students cram for matriculation exams, thousands will find the time to order limousines, reserve hotel rooms, rent tuxedoes and get fitted for formal dresses.

Just a decade ago, graduating seniors made do with simple grad night celebrations in the school gym.

But all that changed six years ago, when students began copying the high school proms many of them saw in movies, by hiring out five-star hotels and expensive function halls for their extravagant parties.

In doing so, students and their parents bypassed Education Ministry rules limiting the cost of end-of-year parties to NIS 280 (about USD 65).

NIS 450-650 per ticket

Ministry officials say they are familiar with the phenomenon, but say they are powerless to stop it because parents help and often encourage the graduates make plans.

“It is a cheap imitation of an American custom that not only costs a lot of money, but also has no connection to finishing school,” the ministry’s Pedagogy Authority head, Leah Rosenberg says.

Currently, a grad night party for Tel Aviv-area high schools can cost anywhere from NIS 10,000-70,000 (USD 2300-16,000). The more students the event attracts, the more organizers are able to lower the price for each student.

At the end of the day, parents may be asked to fork over anywhere from NIS 450-650 (about USD 104-150) and more, including the required payment for the official school party and a class photo.

Alcohol prohibited but common

Ben Ribaski, owner of the Sky company that plans grad night parties, says he started planning this year's grandiose affairs six months ago.

He says most parents are involved with the planning and give their children a free hand to make plans, often limiting only alcohol consumption.

Despite this, Ribaski says the students manage to find copious amounts of alcohol, leave the bottles in their cars, and duck out every once in a while to drink.

Yaniv Levi, a senior at the Rottenberg school in Ranana and organizer of his school's prom, says the school’s parents association helped pick a company to produce its grad night.

“Our prom will take place at the Dan Panorama in Tel Aviv,” he says, “ and will include various surprises such as a formal dinner and guest performers.”

Business support, parents still pay

He also says the group was raising money to help offset the cost to participants. While some local businesses have assisted, Levi says the parent’s organization would still be forced to pony up tens of thousands of shekels.

In addition, Levi says 25 of his classmates have reserved hotel rooms, in order to continue their celebrations throughout the night, and have asked the hotel management for a group rate.

all the bars gathered together to form one HUGE cloud of
alcohol fumes. luckily no-one farted strong enough to blow
us all sky-high, the fumes of alcohol were so strong you didnt
need to drink to get dizzy, alcohol of over 40 percent was sold!!

I had infos about Tel Aviv before, not surprised. It's a wildissimo place in many ways. :) Many clubs do have interesting stuff going on in Istanbul, Bodrum, Marmaris , Antalya etc. in Turkey . Because I 've seen first hand. But I think our turkish moderators in this forum are relatively reserved people. Would they allow interesting clubbing photos regarding turkish clubs? of course the party scene here is in the first line with amsterdam or ibiza..
some say its better :)

It's funny to see how Amsterdam still has this myth going on of being a party city. That isn't the case anymore for years!

You will have fun in A'dam if you like bars, cosy pubs, nice restaurants and lowscale concerts and theme nights. Oh yeah, and if you are gay... ;)

But if you're looking for genuine clubs, a la Tel Aviv you need be in Rotterdam these days.

TelAviv outdoes A'dam for sure! Piece of cake! :cheers:
