These types of vehicles are also found in Canada, where they serve as tourist coaches to the Columbia Icefields (glacier).

Good for ice, good for snow... hence the giant monster tires.
I've been on the ones in Canada (the pics above). It can go down a really steep incline, something definitely not possible with normal tires.

Toyota? I didn't know Toyota made buses (the ones for the desert tours) Nice buses on 4x4 drive. I believe those desert tours are in Northwest China which is mostly desert.
