View Full Version : RoT: calling a building boring and still giving it a 7,5?

I've noticed (a while ago already) that some voters in this section seem to contradict themselves in their comments and their vote. They say, that they don't like a building/skyline and still give it a 5 or even better. I think it would be good, if we give for every poll option a short description. For example:

10 - my personal best building/skyline of the world
9,5 and 9 - one of my favourite buildings/skylines
8,5 and 8 - a very good building/skyline
7,5 and 7 - a good building/skyline
6,5 and 6 - a decent building/skyline
5,5 and 5 - average
4,5 and 4 - boring
3,5 - would be better if it wouldn't exist
3 or less - I hate it! What pills did the architects/city planners took?

Something like this added to the RoT rules would be nice in hope that there are not so many confusing vote/comment combinations anymore. People who open new polls don't have to write the descriptions into the poll options (would be nice though).

well I have something I call a 'pity vote'
it's the average I give to dull skylines, to which I have nothing special to say.
If I really hate something then it would be below.
on Superpolis it's a 6.
on RoS a 7, RoT a 5, RoA a 7

you get all sorts in there really!

I guess it adds to the interest of the thread where you dont get a uniform reply.

The real problem are the trolls who quietly register and start downvoting/upvoting buildings on purpose.

A few have been caught several times, and all their efforts at reregistering wasted;)

hm... so there's a system now to rid of those people who voted 3 or less in those classic scrapers eh?

Anyways RoT is all about personal opinion. No use whining about it.

Yes, of course. But without a proper classification a poll is pointless, if for some voters a 6 is good and for others bad.
