Does Skyscrapercity have more members/posts/traffic than any other urban forum or skyscraper forum? I don't know of any that are larger.

I am pretty sure its the largest, followed distantly, maybe by Skyscaperpage.

Someone posted a link to a list of the worlds busiest forums or something.

SSC was way ahead of SSP.

But unless u feel like browsing the hundreds that were ahead of SSC for another urban forum...

We can assume this is the largest :D

yeh we are a lot larger than SSP, but larger doesn't have to mean better. There's a lot more racism and ignorance here now than in the past.

As mentioned by Jasonhouse quite a few times, millions of posts have been trimmed over the years, so SSC has many more posts than that site indicates. Some of the thousands of registered users are also no longer active.

But because skyscrapers are a relatively specialized area of interest, I am pretty sure SSC is tops. :)

SSC is tops for posting rate and active membership (which is what really matters IMO in this context)... SSP is still ahead in terms of historical posts, though I believe SSC would pass it up in about another year or two.

However, the ultimate measure is in the quality of the content and ease with which members can surf the forums without being subjected to all manner of abusive behavior. In that regard, I fear that SSC has a ways to go.

Oh, and BTW,,, A measure that really shows where we are in relation to the other sites ranked is "posts in the last week"... We are #51 of all genres, and blow away all other highrise/urbanist/architecture forums. We're even #5 for "photography" sites, which really says something considering all of the corporate photography and dedicated hobbyist sites out there that also have forums and such.

And for those who wants to know the numbers...SSC is getting about 55-60k posts a week...SSP is getting 15-17k posts a week.

Politics threads should be forbidden, they only bring discussions

Yeah, we do have a long way to go. Racism, ignorance and religiophobia is rife here.

Didn't skyscrapers.com used to have a forum? What happened to that?
