Hi guys,

Within a month, we will celebrate our 1st anniversary of Indonesia forum.

(Eventhough I forgot the exact date, but i am sure it was around May 2004. That was the day when i went back home for a bad day but i forgot the date! :lol: )

Anyway, What do you guys think we should celebrate with?

2. Website?
3. Community mailing list?

For a month, I will stick this thread to get inputs from you guys

I think ... somewhere April 2004 ....few days after I signed up ....I make a posting about making Forum for Indonesia ....

Remember ... that when we kind of ... "threatened" Jans ... to boycott the skyscrapercity and ... made other forum .... instead .... we threatened him that we will move to other .... forum ... ( I think it wass skyscraper competitor ) .. I remember it was http://forum.skyscraperpage.com/ ...

He he he ... that Works ...for me .. :)

few days .. later jans posting ...a kind of reply message that say something like ..... There was no needs to boycott and move to other forum :-) .... Indonesia Forum was considered to be created ..... as the number of forummer .. increase and the traffic increase ...

and You know what .... a day after ...

For our first birthday, David, I suggest we rename our forum to something more distinctive....at the moment the link to our forum only states "Indonesia", somewhat boring compared to Malaysia's "Forum Pencakar Langit Malaysia" or others.
Secondly, putting links to our subforums underneath the 'Indonesia' link itself, like the other more established forums. or alternatively, putting in a short message e.g. Thai's "Sawadee. Welcome to the land of smiles"
Thridly, renaming our 'Projects' subforum...it just sounds boring.
what do people think? and any suggestions?

Yeah, I already have that plan in my mind and what Indonesia name should be rename with? any suggestion?

Anyway, are we still going to have that kind of banner with our photos on it?

Tomorrow is the Bday, I havent got any opinion at all and I am quite dissapointed with it. I guess if tomorrow no opinion regarding what we suppose to celebrate with.
I am going to assume that we will go with what Alvin and I propose to change the title underneath the subforum and gets it linked with the sub-sub forum.

i think thats en excellent idea...but on the other hand, u might want to display sumthin that is well known...cus im not sure ppl know the shape of our country too well...im sayin this with pain in my heart, but indonesia is so lil known...there r even ppl who think Bali isnt Indonesia!!......so i'd say...sumthin that can put indonesia on the map!!

I like this one a lot.

I support changing "Warteg" to "Gado Gado"
and "Projects" to "Projects on the Rise" or something like that. Not "Sudirman Square" though, cos it is actually a name of a building in Jakarta.

Ok I am going to propose Gado-Gado to replace warteg with one of the reason because we are discussing so many kind of topic in that thread.

But....If...

Hopefully though, we can have one more sub forum which is really a skybazaar thread

and the proposal is Ok'ed by the admin then Gado-Gado will be a whole new sub forum for skybazaar related threads.

Anyway that banner looks freakin awesome, nice job encon! I am going to ask Jan for it.

just wanted to point out, the welcoming greeting should read "The World's Largest Archipelago", rather than "the world largest archipelago". and I propose changing our forum name from "Indonesia" to "Indonesia Skyscraper Forum" or something a bit cooler :)

the lobby is big ! the service great ! the hotel is quite quiet as i think the hotel is new


bad points :

the lantai keramik they put kasar !

the windows are not clean

the hotel still quite alot of dust !

yeah, I've heard bad stories about the RItz, apparently its quite cheapo compared to other Ritzs in the world...

Thats not good since Cristiano ronaldo and that guy from korea were staying on the Ritz...

yah agree with u compare to other parts of the world this is one is kinda 4 stars (in fact 6 stars)

also form my opinion the MARRIOTT jakarta is more classy than the RITZ
