ChgoLvr83 April 25th, 2005, 08:35 PM Washington, D.C.'s Union Station is the best IMO. It has great shops, restaurants, a beautiful food court, a theater, a beautiful great hall, and I hear you can also catch a train there too. :)

Justadude April 27th, 2005, 07:18 AM DC's Union Station is just unbelievable. It looks good from both the inside and the outside, and the view from the front entrance toward the Mall is a great way to dazzle visitors.

Oh and KC's union station is still in use as a train station, not like poor Detroit and St. Louis. Oh and KC's main branch of the post office is located here now too.
Lmichigan April 27th, 2005, 07:33 PM ^Uh, good for KC? BTW, St. Louis's is doing just fine, as a train station or otherwise. At least it's still there and in high-use unlike the ones that are no longer there, or the ones not in use.

From the looks of that picture, the front entrance actually faces away from the city...
Lmichigan April 27th, 2005, 10:02 PM There's a skyline looking in that direction, as well, Justadude.

Plans are to build a new, intercity and commuter rail station on the Lakefront, near where the existing Amtrak shoebox station is located. The new station also would be served by the existing light-rail Waterfront Line.
