To be honest, I would really wanna have a house in Kaphalonia or Lesvos.

But, at this moment I will not buy one.

1) I have not one week for vacation for now.

2) I do not want to live with people in my vacations.

As soon as I may find vacations, I am planning to get a sailing boat.

But yes, for summer house, Cephalonia and Lesvos are the best.

I have stayed at the Fresh hotel (above) several times. I will always go back. The design, the friendly staff and service, cleanliness, and central location make it my favorite. Very relaxed and friendly.

We also have a Kempinski hotel in Athens but the one in Thessaloniki rocks, and so does the Thessaloniki Hyatt Regency Casino, one of the best globally.

Kempinski hotels seem to be everywhere, there is one in Moscow too. With great view btw.

Sure, this place is deviating from the smaller character hotels already presented, to a resort, but it's still a fine place and location IMHO.

I loved this hotel so much, I recommend it to anyone travelling to Greece.

Fresh and Semiramis are just my style, if you check my avatar (unfortunately, light years away from my budget). However, for the underprivileged lonely planet reporter out there, I recently stayed at a hotel that has far more class and service than the C'class facilities registered: SAMOS hotel in Vathy, Samos (not worth uploading pictures, they couldn't compare to the masterpieces in the thread) I don't know if there's another C class hotel in Greece with free wifi access to guests (and not only, I stayed there for 2 nights and I had breakfast there on my way back from Ikaria to catch the plane to Athens-the super-friendly staff let me log on again). OK, but that's techno-freak details. The rooms are all super-clean, the breakfast is splendid, there's a pool with jacuzzi (though tiny, it's useful and cute though), balconies overlooking the harbour (only 50m from the main pier), plus the bar is totally (cheap) sixties, lava lamps, orange organic-shaped barstools, pop wallpaper...(but that's all, the rest of the hotel is all very traditionally-conventional)...I paid just 48E a night in the end of July (they didn't charge for my 9-year old daughter...so I paid single room rate)
A great hotel that CAN compare to the photos in the post (way too late to figure out how to upload photos!) however is Peratzada Hotel, also in Vathy (but of Ithaca!). Brilliant, as all the other hotels in the Tsimaras Art Hotel chain (Primarolia in Patras, Emelisse in Fiskardo Kefalonia...pity the only remnant of their plans for the Patras Moreas is the faded sign on the facade...)

It is truly fascinating how much the hotels have improved the last years in Greece. In Switzerland, there are similar hotels but you pay them in Gold...
The funny thing is that most of the above accommodate Greek tourists rather than foreigners.

Πρόκειται για το Sheraton Rhodes Resort, τα εγκαίνια του οποίου έχουν οριστεί για την ανοιξη του 2010.

Oπως αναφέρεται σε σχετική ανακοίνωση, η Starwood Hotels & Resorts ανοίγει το όγδοο ξενοδοχείο της στην Ελλάδα, προσθέτοντας άλλο ένα ξενοδοχείο στο χαρτοφυλάκιο βραβευμένων πολυτελών resorts της. Στις 20 Μαΐου ξεκινά η λειτουργία του «The Romanos, a Luxury Collection Resort» του πρώτου ξενοδοχείου στην Costa Navarino, στη Μεσσηνία.

Σύμφωνα με σχετική ανακοίνωση εξακόσιοι ενενήντα τέσσερις εργαζόμενοι, που σε ποσοστό πάνω από 70% προέρχονται από τη Μεσσηνία, ετοιμάζονται να υποδεχθούν τους πρώτους επισκέπτες. Όπως τονίζεται στην ανακοίνωση το ανθρώπινο δυναμικό, που αποτελεί την ψυχή και κινητήρια δύναμη της Costa Navarino για να καθιερωθεί η Μεσσηνία ως ένας από τους πλέον ποιοτικούς προορισμούς στη Μεσόγειο, θα ανέλθει σταδιακά εντός του καλοκαιριού στα 800 άτομα περίπου.

Παράλληλα, η Aegean Airlines ξεκίνησε, σε συνεργασία και με την υποστήριξη της TEMES Α.Ε., την καθημερινή σύνδεση της Καλαμάτας με την Αθήνα, ενώ ήδη τη συνδέει με απευθείας αεροπορικές πτήσεις και με τη Θεσσαλονίκη. Επίσης η Sky Express προσφέρει απευθείας σύνδεση με το Ηράκλειο.

I've been to Monemvasia once, a few years ago. It was amazing :) Have a nice stay :) The hotel looks amazing :)

Well I was excited about Monemvassia to start with, and this hotel is just enticing me even more. My partner (who has been to Greece with me many many times) and I were going to first stay in Spetses at the Poseidonion Grace, but this just seems to good to pass up.

I'll defo post some pics when we're back (a few weeks away).

TEMES takes next step in the Costa Navarino development

Development of the next phase of this project will cost more than EUR 200,000,000 and will include an 18 holes golf course (already under construction) and the luxury Navarino Bay Hotel. This hotel will be managed by Banyan Tree and the construction will start in a couple of months.

Στη δεύτερη και τελευταία φάση εισέρχεται η τουριστική επένδυση της οικογένειας Κωνσταντακόπουλου στην Περιοχή Ολοκληρωμένης Τουριστικής Ανάπτυξης Costa Navarino στη Μεσσηνία. Μετά την έναρξη της λειτουργίας του Navarino Dunes το οποίο περιλαμβάνει ένα γήπεδο γκολφ 18 οπών, δύο πολυτελή ξενοδοχεία (The Romanos και The Westin Resort) ένα κέντρο θαλασσοθεραπείας και ένα συνεδριακό κέντρο, τώρα προχωρά στα επόμενα βήματα. που θα φέρει την ονομασία Navarino Bay.

Σύμφωνα με τον διευθύνoντα σύμβουλο της Temes Αχιλλέα Κωνσταντακόπουλο, έχει ξεκινήσει ήδη η κατασκευή ενός ακόμα γηπέδου γκολφ, ενώ μέσα στους επόμενους μήνες ξεκινά η κατασκευή της πρώτης υπόσκαφης υπερπολυτελούς ξενοδοχειακής μονάδας της Ευρώπης.Με στόχο να μην αλλοιωθεί το καταπράσινο τοπίο της περιοχής, η μονάδα Navarino Bay θα αναπτυχθεί υπόσκαφα και θα αποτελείται από πολυτελείς βίλες.


Σε αυτή την μονάδα θα αναπτυχθεί από τον ταϊλανδέζικο οίκο Banyan Tree που ειδικεύεται στη διαχείριση ξενοδοχειακών μονάδων αυτού του είδους. Το ξενοδοχείο Banyan Tree του Costa Navarino εκτιμάται πως θα είναι έτοιμο το 2013. Συνολικά, το επενδεδυμένο ποσό για το δεύτερο σκέλος της επένδυσης θα ξεπεράσει τα 200 εκατ. ευρώ.

Το Μάιο του 2012 θα υποδεχθεί τους πρώτους τουρίστες υψηλού επιπέδου το Aman Resort, μία από τις μεγαλύτερες τουριστικές αναπτύξεις της Dolphin Capital Investor Limited (DCI) στην Ελλάδα. Το πολυτελές ξενοδοχείο με 38 σουίτες αλλά και πολυτελείς βίλες είναι μία επένδυση, το κόστος της οποίας ανέρχεται μαζί με την αγορά γης στα 150 εκατ. ευρώ και αναπτύσσεται στο Πόρτο Χέλι. Το Δεκέμβρη του 2011 θα ολοκληρωθούν οι εργασίες με στόχο να ανοίξει τις πύλες του πριν την έναρξη της τουριστικής περιόδου του 2012. Το Aman Resort είναι η πρώτη φάση της ανάπτυξης του τουριστικού θερέτρου Porto Heli Collection το οποίο θα έχει συνολικό προϋπολογισμό 600 εκατ. ευρώ και θα περιλαμβάνει επίσης τα ξενοδοχεία Nikki Hotel, Chedi Hotel, γήπεδο γκολφ με Golf Hotel, κέντρο ιππασίας κ.λπ. Στο Aman Resort που θα είναι ανοικτό όλο το χρόνο θα απασχολούνται περί τους 300 εργαζόμενους ενώ αναφορικά με το νερό που θα χρειαστεί για το συγκρότημα και ειδικά για το γήπεδο γκολφ, έχει σχεδιαστεί εργοστάσιο αφαλάτωσης για 12 χιλ. κυβικά μέτρα νερού.

Κατασκευή

Στη φάση της κατασκευής είναι και 11 παραθαλάσσιες πολυτελείς κατοικίες οι οποίες θα πωλούνται από 2 έως 20 εκατ. ευρώ ενώ έχουν βρεθεί ήδη αγοραστές για δύο από αυτές. Μιλώντας σε δημοσιογράφους χθες ο εκ των ιδρυτών της DCI, Μίλτος Καμπουρίδης, αναφέρθηκε στις δυσκολίες χρηματοδότησης που αντιμετωπίζουν οι εταιρείες που θέλουν να κάνουν τόσο μεγάλες αναπτύξεις. Εξέφρασε την αισιοδοξία ότι με την κατασκευή του Aman Resort θα μπει η Πελοπόννησος στο χάρτη των οργανωμένων τουριστικών αναπτύξεων (μετά το Costa Navarino) και το έργο θα αποτελέσει πιλότο και για τα άλλα επενδυτικά σχέδια της εταιρείας στην Ελλάδα.

Κεφάλαια

Η Dolphin έχει αντλήσει περίπου 900 εκατ. ευρώ από την εισαγωγή της στο βρετανικό χρηματιστήριο (ΑΙΜ) και έχει διαθέσει πάνω από 750 εκατ. ευρώ για αγορές ανάπτυξης γης άνω των 63.000 στρεμμάτων.
Ερωτώμενος ο κ. Καμπουρίδης αν θα ενδιαφερόταν για συμμετοχή του στο πρόγραμμα αξιοποίησης της κρατικής περιουσίας τόνισε ότι τα ακίνητα που έχουν ανακοινωθεί δεν είναι ξεκάθαρα και θα ενδιαφερόταν μόνο για εκτάσεις 500 ? 1.000 στρεμμάτων με καθεστώς.
