it uses the site very efficiently
i hope in 10 years all of west perth is a 10 level wall of condos:D
its a pitty studio 990 got blocked in court it was sold out and 9 levels....
not sure whos developing it, and yes its UC same with zenith [9 levels kings park road], and site works under way on harbour town & market rise

I think studio 990 would have been great.. Altona is pretty much hidden from view due to its location

i walked past today... i didnt see who the agent is... the site is very narrow... should look good...
site works are well underway on market rise.. they were even working at around 7 am on sat morning :) woodside had another core rise today.... up to around 26 now i think its gonna look better than the renderings :) just the shape is a bit boring :(

i had a look at the future 239 site.. the basement is pretty muich done so hopefully they will give the go ahead soon :) otherwise it may end up like westralia square.. .. ..:bash:

the building next to the s'pore airlines house that is being redeveloped has the top of the facade uncovered... its gonna look awesome (chris posted a pic of it a while back) its really bright blue :)

for a great view of the convention center site.. go to the busport roof.. its awesome.. can pretty much walk over the floor of the pcec as it joins the busport... on the second level... also on the ground flooor or the busport you can see the bottom floor of the pcec u/c.. they have cut off abt a meter of teh busport roof and it is joined with teh pcec... hopefully they will link the new rail station with the busport...
----------------
pulse- siteworks havent started
barrack sq- site works dont seem to have started...
mount st, malcom st and bellevue tce have a heap of apartment projects under construction...

ozone reserve lakes are well underway too.. should be nice around there soon.

australand's smallish development on hay st opposite their bigger one is u/c and the big one is nearly finished....

also in the paper today they said that by 2008 Ellenbrook will have a pop of 20,000 up from 8,000 or so today..should be a good sized sattellite town up that way soon...i wonder if there are any plans for rail up that way.. from an extension of the midland line maybe?? the transport links arent very good.. no freeways or anything going up that way

it was an article about the new shopping center that they are building in ellenbrook.. and they are also planning to expand the Livingston Mktplace in C/vale...adding a department store and extra shops... that area is really growing fast with alot of new subdivision along ranford road... hopefully the rail will go through there in the future aswell.:

Ellenbrook is supposed to have a population on completion of over 30,000! Great idea about a railline up there (Don't know if the government would agree just yet.), it would certianly triggar more developments like ellenbrook in the area.

There is a large crane on the site whats been erected in the last week. its a similar crane to the one at statton on murray. its the largest crane i have ever seen used in West Perth and dominates the skyline. works are well underway and its 1 floor up

11 Altona is a beautiful building.

A lot of work needs to be done on the West Perth section at SS.com

only buildings over 12 levels are counted

market rise is also progressing well, and the buildings for zenith apartments have been demolised so construction is ready to start

Quite an odd view of the skyline from this area,a bit further along the Freo rail line the city seems to be coming out of Kings Park,it looks great.

Just imagine the view with Woodside,Emu Brew and Icon!!

^^That's a good pic Chris! As nice as West Perth is, it was seriously becoming an "office ghetto" in terms of too much of a good thing! But now your pic clearly shows that developers are interspersing the office blocks with a bit of residential, which will hopefully make the precinct more lively and active! :)

I hope the office spaces close in West Perth and move to the CBD, make West Perth a more residential and entertainment area. More vibrancy for West Perth! :)
