Who gives a rip shit about what Badger has to say. Everyone on this fourm knows he gets a hard-on bad mouthing Minneapolis/St Paul and Milwaukee. The state of Wisconsin and the entire midwest is holding Madison down. Madison is the greatest city in the world. Chicago doesn't even compare to Madison, in fact, like 3 people I know moved from Chicago to Madison, so that proves Madison is better than Chicago. Long live Madison, may the sun never set on its vast empire.

How do we know that nasty, nasty woman with the net in her hair who plays 5 slot machines at Pottawatomi at the same time and will wrestle you to the floor and yank the change out of your hand if you try to use (or even come near) one of her machines is really from Milwaukee? What if she were actually a Chicagoan!

Yeah, when ever im in Minneapolis/St. Paul I always have my defenses up.,

So far in Minnesota Ive had the following incidents.
-Got cold chili at burger king and the manager got arugumentive (she would not replace the chili) so I thew it all over the counter and told her "have a good one sweet heart" LOL. She looked shocked when I did it.

-At a Minnesota food store I was told its 2 minutes before closing. I cussed the manager out and dumped the foot items on the floor and left.

I enjoy treating Minnesotans like crap, this re-inforces why I should continue doing it, they are in the top 20 officially meanest in America for St. Paul.

A-hem, the crown jewel and entertainment of the midwest outside of Chicago isnt on the list. The crown jewel is of course Columbus, Ohio.

Why cant St. Paul, be more like Charleston, SC which was labled friendliest city for how many years straight now??

The title is higly inaccurate. The "study" isn't about how friendly or mean a city is. It is about the quality of life for homeless people in selected cities.

Delicious...

What is the point of this thread? I am lost.

Generally speaking, the point of this thread was a serious scientific study, complete with data, charts, diagrams, statistics, analysis, signatures of PhD's, commentary, and ten death threats e-mailed to Mother Theresea from people in St. Paul and Milwaukee to determine how insane somebody would have to be to believe a survey that, first, asks what are the meanest cities in America and, second, determines they are, in reality, St. Paul and Milwaukee.

On the other hand, if we just want to have a discussion of Mars cheese and it's enormous sign over I-94 to allow Chicagoans their last opportunity to buy cheese before entering the cheese-free zone starting in Gurnee, the samples they give, their great cashew brittle, and all the do-dads with cows that have Wisconsin written on them, beyond the bakery, that would be fine with me.

What exactly are you trying to prove here? Do you really enjoy treating other people like crap? That says more about you than the city of Minneapolis. Maybe you should get the chip off your shoulder and you would realize that you have more control over how people treat you than you might think. In the future don't expect five star service at Burger King and don't show up at the grocery store 2 minutes before closing. It's rude.

By the way, I've had bad customer service experiences in Seattle, San Fransisco, Denver, Toronto.....

You do realize that this little post shows everyone that in fact you are the one who is mean, not the people of St. Paul and Milwaukee? Oh, but you have found a study that says those cities are in the top 20 'meanest cities' (when in fact it doesnt say that at all), so it is just fine for you to act like a complete jerk. denvernative, keep doing what you are doing here, i never fail to crack up when i read your idiotic posts.

My responses have been color-coded to aid in determining which part of this post I'm referring to.

Blue: I laughed when I read this. I was going to tell you that you're my hero.

Red: Then I realized that you're a total fucking asshole with a pretty dangerous attitude problem. Are you telling me that you think it's out of line for a place to close on time? Go to hell, punk. Or go back to FABULOUS DENVER COLORADO. Blech.

Green: Because it's not in the South? I don't know. Why can't you be more like your brother? He gets A's on all of his report cards.

I dont treat people like that in Denver or Columbus (when I visit) I keep my mouth shut or talk to people respectfully. But then again Columbus nor Denver were in the top 25 meanest cities.

I mean even the greatest cheerleader for Minneapolis, Minneapolitan says "Minnesota nice is a myth" and it sure is, I learned that the hour I first got to Albert Lea.

Actually St. Paul is the least rude people in the state (despite being 19th rudest in America according to the survey), these four college girls gave me a ride from 11th and Cleveland in St. Paul to Rosedale when I was lost.

I think the rudeness radiates from three centers in Minnesota and gets less intense (rude) as you venture further away: Those three, schould be internationally centers as rudeness are: Morris, Crookston and Moorhead.

denver..you have been sounding like an imbecile lately. Your taking this whole thing out of context--using the title of the article to base an argument. So what that we arent friendly to all the bums in this city. You should see them in Milwaukee. I gave this one bum 5 bucks this one time...and I saw his ass go into Borders--buying a Chicago Tribune. The downtown is filled with beggars..so many that I feel that i am in the time of Jesus. I hear there is a bum population living in the Menomonee Valley as well. Maybe if the bums didnt use money to buy drugs or liquor here...we would be more friendly. :)

I think it's time to start disregarding DenverNative entirely. It's simple: don't reply to his moronic windbaggery. It's obvious that all he wants to do is ruffle feathers. This is classic attention-seeking behavior; he can stir the pot, get people angry, get some immature, nonsensical ranting off his brain from the safety and anonymity of his computer.

Exactly, North Minneapolis is scary and I keep my mouth shut in North Minneapolis. I took the bus route 84 and they had lots of rude, nasty people and the homes for being 200,000 dollars in Camden look pretty dumpy (all wooden century old shacks) and all they had on the bus route was a Cub Foods and a Starbucks.

I dont see how all those renters shelling out a thousand dollars a month for an ugly 2 bedroom in Camden would defend the very city that wants to them too leave!!! Those very 2 bedrooms in Columbus, Ohio or Indianapolis, Indiana would be 400 dollars a month.
