I've just finished a Hot Noodle, 'Bombay Bad Boy', with all the hot red sauce. I almost died, but I did it, and now I feel like a real big man.

What is YOUR favourite Pot Noodle?

the brown one forget which one that is.

Beef and Tomato is the brown one.

Chow Mein I've had once, and it was vulgar. I might have had an off one though 'cos some people like 'em. No one could've liked the one I had.

I used to swear by Spicy Curry, but since they changed the sauce from nice thick brown curry sauce to that wet slimy see through crap 'spicy sauce' (which was originally from the 'nice and spicy' pot noodle which was seemingly discontinued after the merge with spicy curry), I'm not a great fan of it anymore. The chicken and musher one's alright, but I've really gone off mushrooms since eating some funny ones a few times. Bombay Bad Lad's decent.

spicey curry even tho it's not that spicey anymore - the chicken and mushroom one is like faintly flavoured water with noodles... I end up dumping madras or cajun spices into it so it'll have some flavour!!

bombay badboy is too much for my dainty tastebuds... I prefer to actually be able to taste what I eat instead of simply having molten lava poured down my neck!! :P

Some people in "The Office" like the pot noodle and a wank.

Lightweight. ;)

Though at times it did feel like I was licking fire.

Some of my faves are Spicy Curry(Agree with all thats been said about it), Seedy Sanchez, ay Bad Boy, and a Posh Noodle one the flavour of which I forget, might have been Spicy Chilli.

Good to get some really important discussion going eh lads?

I had one of those Bombay Bad Boys... it wasn't that hot at all... or am I missing something? Mind you, I do like my curries (and I'm not talking crappy Tikka Masalas).

The Bombay Bad Boy is hot enough to do the trick. It's no phall or vindaloo. But then, both of those are based on dares for culinary thrill seekers, spice junkies, those with scant regard for flavour, whose concept of a good curry is a sweaty upper lip.

Its more of a madras - hottish but refined, flavoursome. Niiiccceee.

I thought it was mainly the sauce in the sachet that was hot, so you can customise it to personal taste...

The classic was Beef and Tomato! When ready I used to fill the pot up with chips from the local chippy and marinade them in the chemical delights for a while before eating the chips between 2 slices of bread,,, infact pot noodle sandwiches are quite nice too (needs lots of butter though)

They are! I don't have butter though.

Spicy Cuz pot noodle on prawn crackers is pretty tasty too :)

Spicy Beef Curry kicked arse. It's one of those things you wish would be reinstated but probably never will. Sigh!

Pot noodles are dirty, too thick and starchy for my liking, but they might have changed as I haven't had one in years. Sometimes if I'm feeling brave and adventurous I buy one of those weird pots with just Chinese or Japanese writing on them, you never know what you're gonna get. Some have real meat and gravy amongst other bizarre delights in the sachets while others are so tongue-destroyingly hot that I have to lie down in a darkened room for several hours afterwards.

It's about time we got some decent discussion going.

What was your last Pot Noodle then? ;)

Does anyone know why Posh Noodles are more expensive even though you get less? Ridiculous!

Today I'm having a Seedy Sanchez.

Anyone remember the sausage and mash things pot noodle did?

I loved em, they stopped doing them after a few months though.

The Pot brand ones stink. And the Pepperami one sounds disgusting. I say Nong Shim ones are good. They're Korean and hott!

Well I've had about 5 more Hot Noodles since I started this thread so I am quite used to them now. Still make my eyes water though.

Yesterdays Seedy Sanchez was bloody fantastic. Could still taste it on my burps 8 hours later.

that'll be because it isn't a flavour.. it's just like cream coloured water - there's no flavour there until you add something like cajun spices or a bit of madrass power or something :P

I had a posh noodle yesterday. Spicy Chilli flavour. It was between Spicy Curry and Hot Noodle in terms of spicy-ness. Cost £1. And the pot was about 2/3rds full. Worth every penny though.

Did you know that if you eat too many pot noodles you get such bad diarrhoea that you actually shit out all the sweetcorn and soya pieces as they pass undigested straight through your intestines.....?

That is TRUE!

Next time you get the runs, take a peek in the bowl and see for yourself.

Just how much salt and chemicals do those things have?

Been years since I had a pot noodle... I gave them up when I discovered food.

But as I remember there was only one Pot Noodle worth looking at and that was beef and tomato.

Back in the day (early 80s) - before a lot of you jammy gets were even born - we also had a Cheese & Tomato variety. Being young and gullible and far less judgemental about culinary issues at the time myself, I tried that one a few times, and it tasted quite alright - better even than the Chicken & Mushroom one that I always preferred back then.....but then I was horrified when I discovered that the colourings used for that one (Annatto and Sudan III amongst others) were so potent they would permanently stain crockery when left to settle for a few minutes. :runaway:

surely the point of pot noodles is you don't need to use crockery?

You don't need to use healthy ingredients either.
