Thanks, Jim Rome...:| Dallascaper February 5th, 2012, 09:35 PM Nobody wants in back in Dallas though. It was a terrible Super Bowl. The NFL wants it back, so it will be back. I believe DFW is shooting for 2017 - 2019. I will be surprised If Indy ever gets the SB back. Though Indy did a great job of hosting the SB, and they lucked out with "nice" weather, LOS is most likely too small to be considered part of the SB rotation. Of course, the NFL follows the money, so only their bean counters know for sure. It was a terrible Super Bowl. What do you base your opinion on? All I have to say is last year Dallas got the weather Indy usually gets around this time of year while Indy got the type of weather Dallas gets around this time of year. DFW is a great hosting region, but everyone needs to figure out that Texas is not a cramped state and out cities have TONS of leg room. Also Arlington, Dallas and Fort Worth are not hosting the Super Bowl down here, NORTH TEXAS is. Our entire DFW Metroplex is involved, just not 1 city. North Texas did as good as it could for hosting their first ever Super Bowl while the NFL was screwing up the seating situation and the weather was doing something it rarely does. Arlington needs to push development around Cowboys Stadium and the Ballpark in Arlington that has a large hotel, convention space and shops so there is no need to travel back and forth from the stadium in Arlington to Dallas and Fort Worth. However, for those who hate spread out Super Bowl sites, what do they think will happen in New York? That stadium is no where near all the parties or set ups that will be in NYC Darloeye February 6th, 2012, 11:31 PM Worse Haft time show ever ! I didn't even see it this year and I agree... Panteran February 7th, 2012, 05:01 AM I thought the production last year was better. It felt more like a concert then and Madonna lip sang the entire way basically (which is fine since she is a performer) but not for my taste. Other than that, Indy put on a great show! Super bowl needs to return again. redspork02 February 7th, 2012, 06:56 AM Great job Indy! Awesome stadium! Madonna was great! Sorry, but we(DFW) were horrible hosts. Way too spread out. Its great that we have "leg room" to sprawl out, create traffic and smog and have cheap land for businesses to expand and people to have larger homes, but that does make a good method of hosting. It would take Arlington decades of new development to not need for patrons to go elsewhere to have a good time in DFW. If DFW wants to have a good Superbowl, we need to look at the NBA All-Star game that was hosted the year before the Super Bowl. Similar weather, much better result. Sorry, but Indy destroyed Dallas. Now let's not screw up the Final Four. JJG February 7th, 2012, 06:54 PM Sorry, but we(DFW) were horrible hosts. Way too spread out. And what makes you think the NFL will be brave enough to hold another Super Bowl in another cold weather city like Seattle? The NFL host city selection process is decided by the owners. They are a fraternity amongst each other as any. Get a new stadium, your friends will vote for it and you have a chance. Build a state of the art stadium with a dome, provide your owner 'friends' with a luxury box and a vip tour you're guaranteed a shot  Seriously, super bowls needs to stay in warm-weather vacation styled cities. But every now and then (once or twice a decade) have it elsewhere as a cultural experience is best imo nothing more nothing less. jandeczentar February 10th, 2012, 04:25 PM What makes you think those stadiums will definately be built? And what makes you think the NFL will be brave enough to hold another Super Bowl in another cold weather city like Seattle? The Superbowl could be played in the cold like any other game. My big question about cold Superbowls is what happens to ancilliary things like the half-time show? What do they do when it's 20F, sleeting and the guitarist can't play properly because his fingers have gone numb? There's a reason why most outdoor concerts take place in summer and I hope the organisers of SBXLVIII in New York have thought of that.
