It has a unique crown on the top. Im not sure if I like it, but my lind always changes. For now I give it a 7. :D

Quite nice! Seems the saucer on top is a bit overscaled but still I give it an 8/10.

5/10 Nothing special. It has that Shanghai futuristic/wacky look, but there are much nicer towers there.

4.5/10 - No proportion or harmony - I like some contrast among the parts of a structure, but I'm sorry - this contraption looks like pieces of 2 or 3 towers slapped together. It reminds me of a a "kit bash" at a Sci-Fi convention, a comptetition to see who can create the wackiest gizmo using a plastic model kit. The curving section with the glass curtain wall doesn't look that bad, but it doesn't blend with the rest of the tower, which is itself bland and uninspiring. The base looks like several small buildings patched together, and as for that pretentious antenna on the roof, it's straight out of the Jetsons!

Two sides of the building look fine, and the crown tops off the building well, but the building is much too wide, and too slim for my liking.

A UNIQUE architectural landmark in Pudong, Shanghai International Ocean Shipping and Finance Building stands out among many other highrises with its flying-disk-shaped top floor - a place where the Art 50 revolving restaurant of the hotel Novotel Atlantis Shanghai is located.

Diners can enjoy a panoramic view of the city while having dinner.
Completing a full revolution requires 90 minutes, which is a suitable speed for the comfort of the human body.

Beyond the railing of the round restaurant is the oblique glass window, which used only a little steel in its construction to ensure a perfect view.

The building has no 49th floor for at this level there is a control centre for the 50th floor restaurant. Everything is directed by computer and the 49th floor is like a tray and axis for the upper floor, which is also revolving at the same time.

The lower floor has a balcony and a ladder vertical to the "disk" that helps workers clean the outside glass. However, the ladder must be moved by hand.

The restaurant is also an art gallery and every two months it changes exhibitions by local artists. Abstract and vanguard paintings that were well match with the decors of the eatery are more welcomed.

Each picture has a label of price and guests can buy one on the site.
Decorations, tablewares and ornaments were imported from Italy. They are fashionable but simple.

Hate the top though!!! Couldn't they have kept the square shape of the upper levels and not put in a big circle shaped thing? Anyway, the rest looks very good and would love to have it in my city.

i sorta like this one, at least it's not too crazy-looking like some of the puxi creations in shanghai. but this building's rather lonely. they should've put it in the pudong cluster.

Well actually some more pics would help, as it tends to be always the same angle, but I would say it doesn't look too bad, it has an interesting shape and the UFO at the top is probably one of the best around ;-)
