Quite a smart looking one, but its seems to fade into the background and could be a bit slimmer. I love the base.
D-Mac January 16th, 2003, 11:44 PM I really like the view looking up from the street. Too bad it's most often seen in the HK skyline just poking up above the sea of 30 story buildings. Still, it has a nice façade and an original crown. I give it 8/10

Bobdreamz January 17th, 2003, 01:19 AM not bad except for that garish sign up top!....a very nice looking glass tower..the base is great at street level and the roof reminds of 1 Liberty Place in Philadelphia...it could use a spire though....8/10.

The base is quite s-s-stunning. the tower looks better from street level and looks blockier on the skyline. Lots of glass, but yeah, what's with the signage and pinnacle :?

Liz L February 21st, 2003, 11:19 PM 8/10 - The sleek facade really dances with the light, and I like its color and the contrast the lighter, horizontal strips provide. The set backs toward the top are well done, more graceful than any flat box. The base also seems attractive.
However, the tower is a bit chunky - it could also use some horizontal set backs, I think. And while the rest of the tower flows together well, I'm afraid the spire or crown or whatever damages the unity and proportion - the shape isn't so bad, but since it's white and beige, it sticks out like a sore thumb. It also needs to be better connected to the rest of the tower - as it is, it looks like it was just slapped on the roof as an afterthought.

AG April 17th, 2003, 03:46 AM This building has a great glass facade with a lsightly rounded base and a square base, which I think is quite unique. The signage at the top of this tower really does nothing for this building and should be taken off.

It's nice until u get to the top and then it falls apart. I guess the gold dome's better than just having all the mechanical equipment showing on top like some scrapers around that area.
