Ok the one thing that frustrates me is the startup time. It's about 3 seconds. Man sometimes you want to get that babe walking by but the camera hasn't started up and bam....she's gone! :(

What is your main frustration with your camera? :)

My biggest problem with my camera is that there are too few tall buildings in the damn viewfinder:clown:

So far it's the grainy sky. It's also easy to blur the shot with the Fuji Finepix 2600z.

My cam takes about 5 seconds to charge up its flash, which is why I try to never use it. waste my time and battery.

using the viewfinder of my new cam for a prolong period is very tiring for the eyes... I am having slight double visions now... changing lens... :tongue3:

prefer to use Nikon 5400's rotating LCD to take pictures. But, compromise on quality...

 What frustrates me about my camera is the shutter speed, there is no possible way to control it. :bash: :clown:  :bleep:  :wallbash: :crazy2::down:
I have no problem with the viewfinder becaus I have 2  :righton:

I've got an Olympus C-765 Ultra Zoom 4.0 Megapixel camera, my first digital camera. I'm pretty happy with it, but I think I'm going to have to get an extra battery... as the one I have has run out of power a couple times while I was out and about.

Also, the response time when I press the shutter button is crap. It makes taking action shots very difficult.

The main problem with mine is that the LCD screens are too bright. I'll take a picture that looks perfectly exposed, to find out it's actually underexposed when I bring it home.
It makes me uncomfortable to make my shots appear over-exposed on the LCD to compensate. Psycological quirck I guess.

I MEAN BUT IF U FORGET TO CHANGE HOW FRO EG:

AFTER U CHANGED TO CERTAIN EXPOSURE

THEN SUDDENLY U SAW SOMETHING THAT REALLY NICE FOR EXAMPLE WHILE TRAVELLING ON CAR U SAW THE BUILDING THEN WHEN U ABOUT TO TAKE THE PIC, THE CAR MOVE

SO HOW??(I MEAN U PURPOSELY ASK THE DRIVER TO STOP WHIE U ADJUSTING FOR THE EXPOSURE?)

That was my first digital camera, a quite good entry-level one I must say :) Ah, memories...

My both cams have only autofocus. During hazy days and in the night the pics from the cams are not sharp enough.

- grainy under many situations
- the zoom is battery operated and takes up lots of battery power.
- bulky though it was the smallest among all 10x zoom cameras when produced
- settings changed back to factory ones after replacing batteries.

Urban Dave
May 6th, 2005, 09:24 AM
I feel lucky with my batteries! I can take 300's pics or more without replacing them :D
DSLR don't use LCD screens if you don't want, zooming is manual and I only use flash in some situations :D

hmm... really appreciate long battery life of DSLRs.

Mine can take near to 600 pictures (JPEG large) w/o flash in P-mode for 1 fully-charged battery... But, never use more than 2 out of 3 batteries I have in a day.

Battery life shortens in very cold places, however.

I love my Sony Cybershot but what frustrates me the most is when I want to take a quick picture from the car and it takes forever to focus and I miss the pic. For example, if I'm sitting at a light and I happen to look over and see something interesting. I pick up the camera, turn it on, focus on the object and press the button and nothing happens. Then of course the light turns green and I miss my picture. Maybe I shouldn't try taking a pic while I'm driving or sitting at a light.

'what faustrates you most ..."

For me, its that

a) my camera is girly, my fiance bought it for me after seeing it on sex and the city
b) its the camera that takes bad pictures, its not me
c) the delay between when I press the button, and when the final shot is taken is too long, by that time, my shaking hand has screwed the picture up. I can't take actions pics.

10 cm is pretty close. If you want to get a closer shot you should just zoom in as far as you can.

my old camera (powershot a40) is a battery hog. kills a set of 4 AA every week. i still have it but hardly use it now. my new one, a cannon 300d/rebel, so far no complaints. i have a 3 second start up time too but if there's a hot chick walking by, i'll whip out the ole camera phone. problem solved.

Btw, in the short time I played with my camera, I found camera shake the biggest issue so far. Damn...someone give me some cash for anti shake? :D

The only complaint about my camera thus far is the fact that my manual is either in German, or French ;) I can read both, but would still prefer a Dutch one, heheh. Canon charged me like $30 for a Dutch manual. Ohwell, I guess that's what you get for trying to buy your camera online at the cheapest shop. For the rest I'm quite happy, although I've gotta get some money for lenses :)

Urban Dave

th0m haven't you tried to look for it online?

I searched for it very briefly, without any success. But the manuals that come with the camera are quite small, and if I were to find a manual and print it out, it would be to big for me to be practical. Now I can just put the manual in my camera-bag, should I need it.
