This thread is for construction updates and photos on the near 100m skyscraper called EuroTower which is now under construction in the Croatian capital of Zagreb.

The 26 storey tower and its smaller 13 level twin are one of the newest office towers being built in the city.

Zagreb actually got thru OK, apart from the Serb rocket attacks which happened exactly 10 years ago this week. They were commemorated for the citizens that were killed. Apart from that Croatia has put the war behind it and has moved on. A lot of war damage has been fixed in larger cities and towns. Its only obvious in some remote places.

Apart from this, Zagreb is riding a big construction boom in new office buildings. Up to 400,000 sqms of office space is now under construction in Zagreb. New motorways continue to be built. So far things are OK and independence from Yugoslavia was worth it, sadly it wasnt necessary for the war thou. :(

Damn, yesterday i was on my way to Zagreb when it started to rain as hell, and it didnt want to stop not even for 5 minutes, so i didnt have the chance to take photos, nor to look around the city.

ok im a very big croat (not a stupid one like the ones who supported invading bosnia), and I REALLY apreciate the dubai-level construction going on. but i really don't see what's nice about the eurotower. I love the way the Erste bank tower looks, but the eurotower looks like it could fall over is someone sneezed. it just doesnt look rigid to me. the HOTO tower looks awesome.

but could some one please explain what is good about the architectural style of the eurotower? and im not trying to be mean

OK, its been a few months since the last update.

So far EuroTower has topped out and the facade almost entirely covers the structure. The new tower is making a nice impact from many vantage points across the city of Zagreb.
