View Full Version : the BC Debate touraccuracy May 4th, 2005, 07:11 AM Who watched it? What did you think? Vancouver_rocks May 4th, 2005, 08:39 AM I watched it and it was actually full of useful information unlike the federal debates. All the leaders followed to rules which was nice AND... there were no commercials! Gordon Campbell was by far the winner. Carole James is so repetitive, so much so that she actually copied two comments straight out of her commercials. Carr surprised me and was actually really good. I'd say she came in second. She tried to get off the usual topics a bit and seemed very knowledgable. I really hope she gets elected in her riding. But Gordon Campbell did win, and he did very good for having to argue with two women :jk: CF May 6th, 2005, 08:45 AM All I have heard from James is how bad the Liberals are. Although some of her points make me look at the Liberals in a different way, until she starts telling BC her plans for the future, and how she's going to do a better job than Campbell, my vote foes to the Libs. sukh May 6th, 2005, 11:13 AM Carol James actually won that debate, if you want to pick a winner, Adrienn Carr was second, and Gordon Cambell was third. He just never pressed on issues that the NDP screwed up last time, he just wasnt aggressive enough. Whereas Carol James pressed and tried to confront Gordon Cambell on key issues like Health Care cuts etc, and he never really had good explanations or ways to dodge those questions. I think the Green party got their platform out, which is not good for the province at all in my opinion, and the NDP got theirs out, which is basically Health Care and Education. Regardless The i believe the NDP or the Green party are not capable of running the government of British Columbia.
