Their famous for their delicious nêm cuốn. What about restaurant's you don't like? I don't like Phở Thành on Bolsa in between Bushard and Brookhurst. Lùc đinh ký is right across the street from Phở Thành. Top Baguette is good for some Bánh Mì. It's on the corner of Bolsa/Magnolia. My favorite place for Cơm Tám is Cơm Tám Thuân Kiều. It's also on Bolsa/Magnolia in the same plaza as the Bank of America/ABC supermarket. Oh and I'm ethnically full vietnamese, but I was born and raised in orange county. choyak November 18th, 2005, 12:55 PM Wow I had bò lúc lac at brodard about 3 months ago!!! I notice that at least it seems to me that every restaurant has different bò lúc lac, some use green peppers like Pho 54, some have no tomatoes, etc. As for restaurants that I do not like, the only one that I can think of is Pho Hoa, and I think that it is a national chain. I also eat bò lúc lac sometimes at I think Pho Saigon in Artesia. Haha this is weird I wake up at 2:45am and my PC is on and I see this!!!! I will have to try lùc đinh ký, I never ate there before!! Hi David :) Welcome on board. Would you please explain why you have great memories of Vietnamese people? What makes Vietnam unique and special according to your personal experiences when you were over there? Thank you. 1969 Vet June 9th, 2006, 08:22 PM Yes Phan Thiet was indeed beautiful even though it was the worst of times for everyone involved. I realized if you took away the barbed wire and the guard towers Phan Thiet could be paradise. We were just to the south of Phan Thiet maybe 1 mile and I loved swimming in the South China Sea. As for the people I met. I don't know where to begin, from the Vietnamese barbers I had conversations with, to a very lovely Vietnamese girl I met when my unit went to Song Mau to a very little girl, also in Song Mao, (maybe 4 or 5 years old) named Mai Lin (not sure if I spelled that right) they were all terrific people. Mai's father was in the South Vietnamese Army and was camped across from our mess hall. Everyday Mai Lin would visit me and I would give her a plate of food for her and her family. I always wondered what happened to her. I hope she's happy and healthy. Just think, she would be around 40 years old now. Damn I'm getting old. Sorry for rambling on but I do love your country and I'm pleased to see the economy is going so strong. If you are confident of your capability and really want to come back VN, dont hesitate to send your CV to us. coolink November 7th, 2006, 05:38 PM cbre they need cleaning person? I have great experience. but I have a humble demand, when I work in VN, those police should stay away from me. no talking, no asking me for money, not even looking at me :) tq November 7th, 2006, 07:49 PM -deleted- skidlin November 7th, 2006, 10:10 PM is there a branch in california that i can turn in my resume and have an interview here? or i have to go to vn for the interview? tq November 7th, 2006, 10:28 PM CBRE is allover the world..the world's largest real estate services firm PhoAve November 8th, 2006, 02:50 AM is there a branch in california that i can turn in my resume and have an interview here? or i have to go to vn for the interview? Skidlin, Yes they do have its here in California. Just go to their website http://www.cbre.com/ and search for the location: you probably will find some Property Management job in that location (California). It is nice to see someone from California too... I am from San Diego. Where are you in California Skidlin...?? ^__^ PhoAve November 8th, 2006, 02:56 AM Hi Phoave. i'm working for CBRE VN and we do a lot of consultancy for many developers who have been investing into real estate market in VN. Most CBRE-related projects are the famous ones that you've seen in this forum. Hey DacTrung It's nice to know... thanks.. yes i do interested to work in Vietnam in the near future. tq... nice to meet you.... i have seen your file... you do have some really cool picture... Nice Works...... Hopefully, i can visit Hanoi in my next trip to Vietnam... dactrung November 8th, 2006, 04:26 AM hi guys, i can see you are interesting in this brandname. bang, the police does not interfere in our business. skidlin, i think you cannot be applied in Cafifornia because we're independent office, if you really want to work here, plz send you CV to VN office and come when called. tq, send your CV and detail which position you want to be. Phoave, good luck to you!:) skidlin November 8th, 2006, 05:02 AM Skidlin, Yes they do have its here in California. Just go to their website http://www.cbre.com/ and search for the location: you probably will find some Property Management job in that location (California). It is nice to see someone from California too... I am from San Diego. Where are you in California Skidlin...?? ^__^ i'm here at little saigon, orange county. i want to work for cbre in vn, the thing is i dont have the convenience of being in vn to apply for a position in vn, plus a cv is just not what i feel comfortable in providing, especially with the part that requires the history of my family and ancestors. skidlin November 8th, 2006, 05:03 AM thx for the info dactrung, but i dont think i will be able to be in vn any time soon. PhoAve November 8th, 2006, 05:11 AM hey.... may i ask.. what is "CV" ? is that a vietnamese term? Anyhow, if i were you Skidlin and i know that i will be in Vietnam let's say 6 months from now. I would send my resume, just about one month or 2 weeks before the actual day that i am in Vietnam, to confirm that I am avariable in Vietnam on particular days. That way, neither you or they can easily contact each other. Oh.. another solultion is that you can find some staff agency in Vietnam like www.Vietnamworks.com. I think they will be able to help you. Let me know if you found other solution... hehe.. ^________^ Saigoneseguy November 8th, 2006, 06:40 AM CV=Curriculum Vitae=So yeu li lich coolink November 8th, 2006, 06:37 PM ew I saw Vnmese resume on the top of the form, they have this line "Dat Nuoc Cong Hoa Xa Hoi CHu Nghia Viet Nam Muon Nam" ew ew and if I remember correctly they also ask for your back ground, religion, the origin of your moma and your papa........that is so stupid so if they hate minority people and you put down your parents are "Hmong" man are you gonna get it Siddude November 8th, 2006, 09:10 PM Bang, LOL.
