The Royal Bank is the six storey buildings beside it. SimpleSimon May 7th, 2005, 06:52 AM Winnipeg's RBC from the grand old to the dull new. http://img91.echo.cx/img91/4382/rbcold15ed.jpg http://img183.echo.cx/img183/5783/rbcold20zf.jpg (the shorter white one with the RBC logo) http://img162.echo.cx/img162/5361/rbc2jk.jpg http://img132.echo.cx/img132/861/bnswce11vn.jpg samsonyuen May 7th, 2005, 11:10 AM Vancouver's and Winnipeg's are nice, but definitely Toronto's is the gem. What does Montréal's look like? It's funny that the big banks are still technically HQ'd in Montréal (except TDCT and Scotiabank), even though they are operated out of Toronto. Blitz May 10th, 2005, 10:41 PM Here's the one in Windsor...small building for a small city I guess. http://www.pbase.com/embee/image/34464621.jpg malek May 10th, 2005, 11:02 PM http://www.rbc.com/histoire/quicktofrontier/images/147_james.gif http://www.rbc.com/histoire/quicktofrontier/images/photos/stjames1.jpg Royal Bank's headquarers in Montréal, 1908 (moved out of Halifax at that time). malek May 10th, 2005, 11:08 PM http://www.rbc.com/histoire/quicktofrontier/images/headoffice.gif http://www.rbc.com/histoire/quicktofrontier/images/photos/360james1.jpg Royal Banks HQ in Montréal, built in 1928. Highest building in the commonwealth at that time. The projecters could be seen as far as 50km on land, and 150km in the air. That building is splendid, its interior is majestic! Byron May 10th, 2005, 11:34 PM Here's a bigger shot of the Toronto RBC Building, I love the gold hue produced by... well, the gold infused in the windows! Highest building in the commonwealth at that time." It would have held that title for a very short time, as the Royal York was under construction at the same time...it may not have ever held the title at all, as the Royal York may have actualy been structurally taller when the RB Building in Montreal opened, even though the Royal York may not have officially opened until June of 1929, as hotel interiors would have taken longer to finish. I hate to tell ya...but if you want to see all the great bank buildings in Canada...all you have to do is stand at the corner of King & Bay.
