Yes, Dubai is 2nd in my books. This thread is about skylines, not height. Kuwait City has better balance, layering, and better architecture. The Burj Dubai is far too tall compared to the rest of the skyline. Dubai's buildings are too spread out or then they're lined up linearly along the main road.

Height is just one criteria out of many to judge a skyline. Dubai just doesn't work for me at all, but gets a nod purely based on good height marks. If this was a height contest Dubai would win easily, Sydney wouldn't be in anyone's top 10, and Shenzhen would skyrocket up the in the ratings people are awarding.

Most people on here seem to get that this isn't a thread about height.

I prefer Kuwait City's skyline over Dubai's because unlike Dubai, Kuwait City's skycrapers and highrises are not located close to each other, not just in on strip of an avenue but actually spread out nicely and evenly with the tower being in the middle. s
