View Full Version : Baltic scrapers all at once
zippo21 May 8th, 2005, 05:35 AM Hi everybody :hi: All the time we just talk and discuss about one or other seperate project of highrises so I decided to take everything in one place and to see all the situation. I've decided to take three Baltic states because there are quite many discussions from it.
There will be included buildings which are under construction or just proposals yet.
So here we go..
Lithuania:

Latvia: (sorry not all buildings loaded in the page):(

Estonia:

Now everything in brief:

As you can see the situation is quite similar in all three countries.
There would be a huge high-rise district if we take all those scrapers in one place ;)
And now just for fun :)
Here are several proposed skyscrapers in the world:  :master:

sander May 8th, 2005, 01:37 PM Great comparisons.. Soon Tallinn high-rise cluster is very cool when twin towers and Tartu road 15 building are completed.
beta29 May 8th, 2005, 02:57 PM That is really interesting. These comparisons are very nice.
Jarmo K May 8th, 2005, 04:23 PM hehehe how can anyone here not know about ssp.com? =D
mic of Orion May 8th, 2005, 05:41 PM nice one,
Gatis May 9th, 2005, 01:07 PM I always envy a little the people who draw the buildings. Many of them show excellent skills
Homer May 9th, 2005, 01:35 PM Three countries, but just four cities: Vilnius, Klaipeda, Riga, Tallinn... :)
zippo21 May 9th, 2005, 01:39 PM Three countries, but just for cities: Vilnius, Klaipeda, Riga, Tallinn... :)
I hope Kaunas will join this list soon :)
Homer May 9th, 2005, 01:46 PM I hope Kaunas will join to this list soon :)

Rivkin May 9th, 2005, 05:43 PM Well guys, If I had a digicam I'd posted some shots from Tartu. I've been watching around in the city for quite a while but unfortunately without cam.
Aiwa May 9th, 2005, 06:09 PM a new building in Kaunas diagram - 35 floore City hall

ch1le May 9th, 2005, 06:15 PM yes that is fkin weird building... top of spire 160m... kinda alot isnt it?
Aiwa May 9th, 2005, 06:18 PM Well Europe tower in Vilnius has the same height with spire
zippo21 May 9th, 2005, 06:23 PM But look..it is 140m without a spire  maybe the biggest high-rise will be in Kaunas soon...?
Aiwa May 9th, 2005, 06:26 PM The render

Mantas May 9th, 2005, 06:28 PM I think it's not proposed, but a vision, isn't it?
Aiwa May 9th, 2005, 06:32 PM wll it signed in this map from www.kaunas.lt it is in teritory coled "Pergale" : http://img107.echo.cx/img107/3305/kaunasplan4hb.jpg (http://www.imageshack.us)
ch1le May 9th, 2005, 06:48 PM how did you estimate that immense height? From render it seems like 100m
zippo21 May 9th, 2005, 06:51 PM a new building in Kaunas diagram - 35 floore City hall
http://img18.echo.cx/img18/5211/pergales1wd.gif (http://www.imageshack.us)
well as far as I see it is much taller than 100m..;) or u still not agree with me?
ch1le May 9th, 2005, 06:53 PM Well Europe tower in Vilnius has the same height with spire
spire is different from a antenna
ch1le May 9th, 2005, 06:54 PM well as far as I see it is much taller than 100m..;) or u still not agree with me?
im not arguing with you but the creator of the diagram building - Aiwa
Aiwa May 9th, 2005, 06:58 PM Well yeah it is me. The height in meters is aproximetly, if the tower is 35 fl. and if it is an office tower it has to be about 4 m. per floore so the height is about 140 m.
zippo21 May 9th, 2005, 07:00 PM I thought Aiwa found it somewhere in the internet...is it Aiwa?or u created it yourself?:)
zippo21 May 9th, 2005, 07:02 PM Well I think it will be not so tall then...or maybe it won't be build at all :)
Aiwa May 9th, 2005, 07:03 PM I drew it, and I did some other buildings from Kaunas Diagram in SSP page
Aiwa May 9th, 2005, 07:05 PM Well I think it will be not so tall then...or maybe it won't be build at all :)
Everything is posible. :)
_alonso_ May 9th, 2005, 07:35 PM hey, guys, stop fighting;)
I know this project. funny detail in it - it will be on purpose few meters higher than Vilnius Europe Tower (don't remember exact height). eternal rivals..:)
ShuMi May 9th, 2005, 07:45 PM So how high has Klaipeda`s municipality have to be? 142? Will it be enough? :D
We should start searching for a plot right now :D
zippo21 May 9th, 2005, 08:24 PM hey, guys, stop fighting;)

So it should be about 130-133 meters then...
