In about 2 or 3 weeks i'll be getting between $300-$400 (canadian) comming in... i want to buy a new lens, but don't really know which one to choose for my Olympus E1...

I'm thinking of either the Zuiko 40-150mm F3.5-4.5 lens

or the Zuiko 35mm F3.5 macro lens...

Eventually i will have both.. i just have to think of which one I need or want to get first...

Any Oly users here have any experience with either one? or both?

Since you have an E-1, shouldn't you get a weatherproof lens instead?

I think you should get 50-200mm lens instead of 40-150mm to make your camera weatherproof.

/\ It's all about the money... 50-200mm and the 50mm macro lens which i would love to get are double the price of the other 2 i mentioned.. i don't know.. maybe i should just wait another couple of weeks or months until i get more money.. i'm just so horribly impatient.. lol

^^ Depens on the use you are going to give to the lenses. A 40-150 mm is more useful than a 35 mm (used for portrait? equivalent to a 50 mm in FF more or less)

Anyway, some mod should close this thread, it has now 504 replies :D

Exactly... the 40-150mm will defidentally be more useful, especially now where the weather is warming up and i'll be taking a lot more outdoor/urban photos where i'll need a little more zoom..

Yup. And considering how you started this thread, it would probably be a good idea for you to start the next "DSLR Users Corner" thread aswell :) :cheers2:
