Well following the planned $45 million expansion of the Edmonton Arts Gallery where some of the world's top architects are competeing, the ball kept rolling. The soon to be Royal Alberta Museum is about to undergo a major expansion. The total moeny commited thus far is $150 million from the Provincial Government and $30 million from the Feds. This will have the effect of tranforming arts in Edmonton for a generation. Why you may ask. Well as a comparision the ROM expansion, renovation project was $200 million. Think how much more of an impact that same level of funding will have on a smaller arts scene.
