Hooghly, a tributary of the Ganges, runs through Kolkata.Many bridges are there in the city, I am gonna present the most important ones among them.

ooh yeah...the few parts of Calcutta that actually meet international standards.

Actually, the whole city wouldn't be all tha bad if it wasn't for all the refugees. (nothing against them tho, after all they're in Calcutta cause their government back home persecutes them).

The Vidyasagar Setu bridge is the best one at the moment, but I'm really looking forward to the Second Vivekananda Bridge, as it will be the LONGEST CABLE-StAYED BRIDGE IN ASIA. i hope it will reflect well on a city that the media always portrays as a hellhole populated by beggars...

I LOVE THIS BRIDGE! :) I've always been intrigued by it... perhaps because it looks like a bridge with its piers cut off at the shin! :) :) :)
