Kavajë is a city in Western Albania bordering Durrës and Tirana.

Was there a master plan for Albanian reconstruction after WWII? All the towns and cities I've seen seem to have similar main squares - almost identical, in some cases.

Many cities in Albania have main squares.They were designed like this before World War 2 and i think before World War 1 for that matter.
Kavajë for example is an older city than Tirana and it's interesting to see it has a main square giving you the thinking that main squares have been built in many places besides Tirana.
Tirana was designed as a capital city.
They acctually created a masterplan for the city back in the early 20's.
I believe italian architects were involved on that project , i am not quite sure.
After World War 2 i cannot think of any city in Albania to have had a masterplan.
They already had the basic structure.
During communism they changed the structure of the cities by building commie apartment buildings.

THe Tirana main square was built with help from the Italian fascist asrchitects. That's why there is an air of megalomania and its foolishness. I think however, in the future, as they will remove all traffic from it, it would be a great place for people to meet, children to hang out, musicians, festivals, and businessmen to walk as 12 skyscrapers are being built around it.

The one thing I really like about cities/towns in Albania is their almost universal main frame consisting of a main square and buildings around it. That's a potentially wonderful thing if reconstructed properly and with taste.

Ato zona si plazhed e adriatikut ne jug te golemit qe kan qene zona te pa prekura edhe ushtarake ne kohen e dulles, duhet te zvillohen si cdo zone turistike ne tuqi apo ne karaibe ku ndertohen vetem rezorte per turizmin masiv elitar edhe jo me hotele qe mbin si kerpurdha te egra pa asnje lloj vizioni edhe plani zvillimi te gjer turistik. Ishalla tregohen icik te meshirshem ato te babziturit qe jan ne fuqi ne ate vend qe ka potencial te jashtzakoncem por manaxhim amaturesk gati gati anti shqiptar. Un jetoj ne kanada edhe turizmi masiv per kanadane eshte kuba, edhe te kuptosh si e kan shfrytzuar kubanezet vendet e tyre turistike te vjen per te qar qe shqiperia nje vend ne zemer te europes me mijra vjet histori nuk ka nje rezort turistik te mirfillt

Zona e plazhit te Gjeneralit nuk kishte asnje ndertim betoni dhe ishte ruajtur shume mire, vetem nje resort i madh ne te gjithe gjirin me shtepia te vogla druri perreth mes gjelberimit..me te vertete nje investim shume i mire:)

me te vertete qe eshte zone shume e bukur :)

Kam pushuar ne Spille para 3 vitesh per nje periudhe 10-ditore.
Ne pergjithesi kam mbetur i kenaqur. Gjithesi edhe pse nje zone mjaft e kendshme, Spilleja krahas avantazheve kishte edhe disa probleme te vogla.

Avantazhet e Spillese:

-Rruga per te fshati turistik ishte mjaft cilesore, e sapo-shtruar me nje pamje te bukur te natyres perreth.

-Rera edhe uje shume te pasterta dhe aspak te ndotura.

-Ruatja e pishave pergjate bregdetit qe krijonin nje pamje shume te bukur, nderkohe qe edhe restorantet qe operonin aty prane nuk e kishin vene ne rrezik pyllin - ishin kryesisht ndertime prej druri ne harmoni me natyren perreth.

-Mungesa e gradacelave dhe pallateve shumekateshe qe kane okupuar pjese te rendesishme te bregdetit Shqiptar deri me sot.

-Cmime te arsyeshme si ne akomodim ashtu edhe ne shpenzime te tjera (ushqim, pije etj.)

Problematikat e Spillese asokohe (probleme te njejta shfaqen ne teresi te bregdetit Shqiptar do te thosja) :

Rruga kryesore ne brendesi te fshatit turistik ishte mjaft e ngushte per shkak se i (pothuajse) i gjithe zhvillimi ishte perqendruar krahas rruges, ndaj edhe krijoheshin probleme trafiku.

-Sa me larg detit aq me shume binte ne sy arkitektura dhe ndertimet jo te posacme per vendodhjen. Shume ndertesa kishin nje arkitekture dhe model ndertimi shume te zakonshem ne kundershtim me statusin e Spillese si fshat turistik nderkohe qe mjaft prej tyre ishin rrethuar me mure blloku...

-Ne mungese te koshave per plehrat, disa pika te caktuara ishin mbushur me mbeturina - problem ky qe lehtesisht zgjidhet (ne qoft se nuk eshte zgjidhur deri me sot)

-"Rruga e Pishave", pergjate saj gjendesin disa restorante dhe biznese te vogla ishte e pa-asfaltuar. Gjithesi ishte shtruar me cakull asokohe dhe besoj qe sot e kesaj dite duhet te jete asfaltuar.

-Ne kryqezimin e rruges kryesore me "Rrugen e Pishave", pra ne hyrjen kryesore drejt plazhit ekzistonte nje territor ne forme sheshi ne te cilin gjithesi nuk ishte investuar fare dhe si rezultat territori ishte shendruar ne nje territor tregtimi (i jashteligjshem) qe te jepte pershtypje tejet negative nderkohe qe pjese-pjese ishin tere balte. Absolutisht vendi nr.1 qe duhet shendruar ne Spille pasi eshte ne pozicion kyce per te gjithe fshatin turistik dhe njekohesisht perben pamjen me te shemtuar te Spillese.

-Mungesa e hoteleve te rangut te pare - problem qe shfaqet ne mbare bregdetin Shqiptar.

Ne pergjithesi, pershtypjet e mia nga Spilleja jane pozitive. Behet fjale per nje territor ne zhvillim te cilit i nevojiten disa gjera te vogla si dhe nje zhvillim i qarte dhe i mirestudjuar. Prioritet per mua eshte hartimi i nje plani te detajuar urbanistik, cka do te bente te mundur respektimin e disa kushteve bazike si per shembull: respektimi i vijes se ndertimit, eliminim i objekteve shumekateshe, krijim dhe respektim i hapesirave publike, harmoni midis fashadave te ndertesave etj.

Gjithesi mund te behet me shume nga pusteti lokal persa i perket koshave te plehrave dhe ndricimit te fshatit qe ne disa pjese te caktuara eshte inekzistent.

Pra me investime te vogla dhe te mirestudjuara Spilleja ka perspektive te shendrohet ne nje resort pushimi te nje niveli te larte!:cheers:
