I've never been a big fan of Yokohama's skyline. I've always viewed it as a poor cousin to Tokyo's skyline "proper" and Osaka's too.

I've always disliked Yokohama's Landmark Tower (just my personal taste). Even though some of the buildings spruce up well @ night including the ferris wheel, which is part of the skyline it still doesn't "cut it" it form me.

man you guys......i remember when i was in 3rd grade and my school took us to yokohama...as we aproached i just couldnt believe to density,!.......and another thing, the ferris wheel is great!

It looks far more impressive in those shots than many that I've seen. I think it's great. It's very dense and very modern. Plus that ferris wheel makes a really cool centerpiece.

It's very Japanese. I really like the trio of progressively lower buildings adjacent to the Landmark Tower, which is a very nice tower, indeed. It's a very unique shape suitable for such a city. 7/10, it just needs more.

Mimil, why do you post lots of old and unclear (low quality) photos so often ? Kobe, Osaka, Chiba...You need to update your photoshop of 90's.

The tallest building in that skyline looks absolutley massive.

Yokohama skyline is very nice. With the such a hugh centre piece gives the example feelling of an enormous Seaport City...And thats Yokohama!!....9/10

Some very nice and tall buildings there, but they stick out a bit too much all of a sudden, needs some more gradual height increase leading into that. Has an easily recognisable core and good height, just more buildings needed.

I must say, I was extremely suprised. I was expecting to see some midrises, and wasteland around, but I saw the exact opposite. The skyline could use more skyscrapers, but it has plenty for now, and a very interesting focal point. :)

yokohama even improved alot in this 5 yrs(from those pics,mayb 5 or more yrs ago?) they got more scrapers near landmark tower (this place is called minato mirai21 or sakuragicho)but mostly condo and not tall nor impressing..same things in other area like yokohama,shin-yokohama and kannai..and also 4 this population,it bit small scale..osaka with pop of 2,5mil has much bigger city scale.but landmark tower and that curved building gives a nice accent 4 skyline tho.anyways osakas pop beats yokohama at day time as osakas pop get much bigger and yokahamas pop get bit smaller at day time tho.ofcrs tokyo is too near and kawasaki is even just besede yokohama.they r in biggest metro area of the world so i would give 9 for yokohama as not being eaten so bad by monster tokyo and even debeloping their own.hehe. and i like landmark tower too.
