The long awaited and many times delayed B1 Business center. It deserves a separate thread as all updates and news regarding this project shall go here

Description of the project from www.b1.lt

JSC „Vestrina“ will start building an A class office building on Bijūnų Str. 2, Klaipėda, in 2005. A 27-floor office building will be connected to an 8-floor office and commercial building as well as 6-floor parking by glass gallery, pendent over Bijūnų Str. Total area of 27-floor office building – 14594 square meters, total area of 8-floor office building – 6276 square meters, the area of 6-floor parking – 10400 square meters. The place for 60 vehicles is projected in each parking floor.

The closing of the constructions is scheduled in 2006.

Height: 97m to 105m (sources are contradicting each other)
GFA: 31,270 m^2; of them:
- 14,594 m^2 (tower part)
- 6,276 m^2 (lowrise office part)

In the back of the second photo you can see a building which will be demolished and the 30 floorer will be built, so these two scrapers will be very close ;)

alonso, this is not a "vison", it's an actual project which's got an investor and design as well as a landplot.

the finest project in Klaipeda atm for sure! Looks as if it has the most quality too! Really wouldnt mind this peace of Architecture in Tallinn ;)

Closing of construction is already in 2006. Cool, in Lithuania seems that building skyscrapers doesn`t delay much.

Don`t know about finishing the construction in 2006, because they have problems with investors and infrastructure...

It seemed that this project died with no investor, but it seems that the authors are changeing they`r plans. The tower should look the same, it should be a hotel, but the other part should be changed strongly. They`r planing a sport and entertainment complex. Although i`m not pretty sure that this project will start someday :|

Interesting - wish success. Project is not bad - 6/10 for me. Car parking is a bit weird - not so successful tribute to present trends in architecture.
