View Full Version : Where are all those Viets members?
Saigoneseguy May 20th, 2005, 06:43 PM I remember when we were still wandering out there: wantuhoa,khicantoiseyeu,Vinaboyz,proX...
yet some members who only posted one thread to say "hello" then disappeared without a bai bai.....KhanhNhat,Vtran,hot_heart.....where are they....hmmm....
Man,please....be a guest or get suscribed in and post something!
Pangu May 20th, 2005, 11:46 PM I know vinaboyz got banned for sure due to excessive flaming.
Sen May 20th, 2005, 11:49 PM Saigonese is still around......
i think some people have been diving(only viewing threads not participating in discussions). it's quite common in every internet forums not only SSC not only Vietnam forum.
Saigonese May 21st, 2005, 01:59 AM Hmmm I'm still here. It's the group participation that make forums work. Unless others contribute as well I'll soon drop off. LOL
skynet126 May 21st, 2005, 04:50 AM people today are too lazy getting on the internet and try to post something, they either play game online or hangout
Saigoneseguy May 21st, 2005, 09:25 AM I know the obstacles, but just spend a little more time,it would be appreciated.
Or should we use more Vietnamese?
KhanhNhat May 22nd, 2005, 05:03 AM im still here, sorry i dont post because i write english very bad

KnightRiderBMW May 22nd, 2005, 07:53 AM :(, if you guys write viet, I won't be able to understand what you're saying.
I plan to take some vietnamese classes though. I hope to be proficient in Vietnamese so I can teach my kids in the future.
Saigonese May 22nd, 2005, 08:50 AM Exactly, if too many of us writes Viet then it'll alienate alot of non-Viet or overseas Viet members.
As for me, I'm fine with both English and Vietnamese.
haha, im really bad at vietnamese, I'm going to try and translate what you wrote:
"On the different subforums of other peoples, they each.........
ok thats' all i know. lol
KnightRiderBMW May 22nd, 2005, 09:47 AM Toi ngi chung ta nen noi them tieng Viet de cho nhieu nguoi hon o trong nuoc de hieu va tham gia nhieu hon. Moi nguoi ngi sao?
this one I understand a little better.
"I think that if we speak vietnamese then it will be harder for other people to understand. What do each of you think?"
KnightRiderBMW May 22nd, 2005, 09:52 AM Ok some more questions, I know they have Mercedes in Vietnam, but do they have BMW? How about Ferrari or Porsche?
Also, is the time difference 15 hours ahead of Pacific standard time?
lovesaigon May 22nd, 2005, 10:13 AM Toi ngi chung ta nen noi them tieng Viet de cho nhieu nguoi hon o trong nuoc de hieu va tham gia nhieu hon. Moi nguoi ngi sao?
this one I understand a little better.
"I think that if we speak vietnamese then it will be harder for other people to understand. What do each of you think?"
He he, you got a wrong understand. Versalvin mean that "I think we should use more Vietnamese to have more people in Vietnam understanding and participate. What do each of you think?" :D

"On the different subforums of other peoples, they each.........
ok thats' all i know. lol
My idea is: "On the different subforums of other countries, they also use their local languages pretty much. So should we use our Vietnamese to exchange, ok? My English's still very bad, need to learn much more.
PS: I don't think I had translated my idea right. Anybody help me?
lovesaigon May 22nd, 2005, 10:23 AM KnightRiderBMW, in Vietnam, there are BMW, of course. Because many Vietnamese are very, very rich. They had enough money to buy modern sport cars, even more than 200,000 US$. I had seen BMW cars many times.About Porsche and Ferrari, I don't know, because I don't have a fancy of cars much. But I think Ferrari do. Not sure about Porsche.
And about the difference of time, I give you an idea. My current time is 3:25pm and GMT+7. You should calculate, by looking at the bottom of this page. What is your times GMT+?.
Then you will get the difference times.
KnightRiderBMW May 22nd, 2005, 10:36 AM mine is GMT -7
lovesaigon May 22nd, 2005, 10:40 AM so the difference is : 14 :D
KnightRiderBMW May 22nd, 2005, 10:49 AM Wouldn't it be 15? -7, + 7 but we have to include GMT. so 15 hours? ahh im confused. lol
lovesaigon May 22nd, 2005, 10:54 AM may be you're right... he he... I don't know :D
versalvin May 22nd, 2005, 08:22 PM Well u know what.. lets use what ever language you are comfortable with right now. Dung tieng Viet neu ban thay thoai mai hon. Or English if you prefer. Beside use this opportunity to practice your Vietnamese or English...we are here to share the infomation about Vietnamese architecture nor criticizing how to write better English or Vietnamese.
And when it is an important or necessary point that it should be translated into Vietnamese or English then do so. This way all can participate? :)
With thats i'll translate this too.
Sorry too that i currently dont have a Vietnam code to write Vietnamese with accents marks which may get confuse. i'll try to get that code soon.
Toi ngi chung ta dung ngon ngu nao ma moi nguoi cam thay thoai mai de dung. Neu ban muon dung tieng Viet de doi thoai thi tu nhien dung. But please write me a pn if you can see any mistakes in my vietnamese.
Oh....and in my english, too ;-)
Cac Ban nho viet mot cai pn neu tim loi o trong tieng viet cua ban nhe?
coolink May 23rd, 2005, 06:53 PM speaking about Vietnamese...there are 3 websites....ashui: traitimvietnam; kientrucforum.
-ashui is Hanoi website so most of the discussion are about Hanoi
-traitimvietnam is too confusing (atleast for me)
-kientrucforum is used mostly by architect students to look for infos on their studies and exams.......and architects to exchange infos on specific issue
so I much prefer this website.....it's a general outside view of Vietnam....
But hey Viet or English as long as ya post the lastest pictures everything is fine with me
