As the title stated, i create this thread so everyone can make suggetions in improving out forum. It may feel kind of early for this thread when our Forum is relatively young. But the sooner the better as we our Forum is gettting larger with lots of new members are here.

What that i wanna to make a suggestion in relation to creating a thread. I think everyone should be restrained in creating too many thread. When possible, new topics that are relatively similar to an already established thread then it should be posted in there rather than in a new thread. This way it the site is more orgainizied. I note too that in many other countries there are a lot of threads but not a lot of responses.

Another thing is that the title should be unique too. It seems our forum is getting a lot of threads with ''Saigon'' in it. Sometimes i get confused or dont remember the exact project i want to revisit but no sure in what 'Saigon thread' Anyone has the same problem? :)

imo, threads should be concentrated with a moderate number of reponses.

"important" threads like "Saigon construction update" are the core, pls post updates there.

There should be also a chit-chatting thread for everyone in this forum to gossip. :D

Good question!

THREADS

1. Basic meat and potatoes (noodles and chicken?) threads:

Saigon projects
Hanoi projects
middle Vietnam projects
north Vietnam projects

2. Big projects with their own threads:

Bitexco financial tower... anything else? :)

3. Others

Saigon photos
Hanoi photos
gossip!

4. Special topcics, trip reports, etc. etc.

Let's remember to note the source when posting. One reason is that if the source in question finds that they are being quoted without being named, they may decide to make their info private. It happened once in another forum...

Please, give a summary if you're quoting something in Vietnamse...

Let's be generous and kind. :)

well if ya only revolving around old threads, it would looked very boring....although I agree sometimes it's hard to know which is which, especially when ya busy and just wanted a quick drop by to see a few updates.
so new posts....I think don't need to have catchy name, or fancy designs...........just add in the dates..........like "saigon May 2005"

We have to pay more attention to other threads to avoid same topics or to open very similar threads and open new which can also written in an other already existed thread.
You know what I mean?..... :colgate:

I think its better if the Vn Forum divided in

1. Projects and Construction
for example:
- North Vietnam Projects
- Saigon - More highrise projects under constructions
- Hanoi Projects
- Vietnam Infrastructure Projects
- Hanoi Traffic Solutions
- Central highland (cao nguyen)
- ...

2. Photos of Vietnam/ Cityscapes and Skylines
for example:
- Yen Bai city
- old saigon panoramic views
- Du lich-Landscape and tourism thread
- Latest Hanoi Pics
- Saigon now: the photo thread
- Hanoi - Capital of Vietnam
- ...

3. Sky Bazaar and other
for example:
- What's your favorite country?
- introduce you
- Vietnamese Cuisine-Các Món Ăn Việt
- Vietnam Economy Thread
- Websites
- Vietnam Airlines
- ...

Are you the same meaning?
So can the Admins or Moderators do sth?

Brilliant idea!I think you can start contacting the Admins and announce your plan :)

Imo,2 forums are enough, one for construction and projects updates, and mayb sceneries and another one for news and blah-blahs....

@tq...that's a very good layout....gơod enough for the conditions of our current forum.
The 'Hanoi- Capital of Vietnam' should be in the construction section though i think..

Nah..i think it better to divide it into thrêe sections as tg's rather than two.

I think this forum is kinda boring because this is indeed a "skyscraper" forum but like 99.9% of the topics are not about 40, 50 or 60-storeys skyscraper buildings but the topics are about food, old pictures of vietnam, imperial palace, tourism etc.

I think the only way that this Vietnam "skyscraper" forum can be improved is having more and more topic like the 68-storeys financial tower in Ho Chi Minh city added to this forum more often.

tq

Yeah maybe...but Vietnam also haven´t many skyscraper projects about 40, 50 or 60-storeys. Its also difficult when there are just a few people who currently living in Vietnam for making updates.
But hey the Vn-Forum...I think...its very active in compare to other subforums.

versalvin
June 11th, 2005, 11:00 PM

Hahahaha Lực bất tòng tâm. If only Vietnam could afford to build more skyscrapers and at a much faster rate :)
