كتوقع مصدر مسئول بوزارة الاشغال انخفاض حجم الازدحام والاختناقات المرورية بشكل كبير خلال السنوات الثلاث القادمة بعد الغاء معظم الاشارات المرورية في* ‬المملكة*.‬
وقال المصدر ان الوزارة رصدت مبلغ* ٤٦ ‬مليون دينار لانشاء *٥ ‬جسور علوية في* ‬التقاطعات الهامة في* ‬المملكة فيما سيتم شق *٣ ‬انفاق تحت الارض بتكلفة تصل الى *٠٤ ‬مليون دينار لتسهيل حركة السيارات القادمة عبر جسر الملك فهد وجسر البحرين* - ‬قطر مستقبلا*. ‬واكد المصدر ان مبلغ* ‬الاربعين مليون لم ترصد حتى الان*.‬
واشار المصدر الى انه سيتم انشاء الجسور العلوية في* ‬تقاطعات منياء سلمان وخارطة البحرين وبوابة مدينة عيسى ودوار* ‬غاز البحرين وشارع *٦١ ‬ديسمبر بالقرب من ادارة المرور والترخيص*.‬
وقال ان مناقصة تخطيط وتصميم الجسور طرحت تمهيدا لتنفيذ المشاريع الخمسة في* ‬اقل من *٣ ‬سنوات،* ‬موضحا ان ثلاث شركات بحرينية وامريكية ونيوزيلندية شاركت في* ‬هذه المناقصة*.‬
وسيتم شق الأنفاق الثلاثة قرب فندق الريجنسي* ‬وعند تقاطع شارع الملك فيصل وقرب قصر القضيبية،* ‬فيما سيتم ربط المدينة الشمالية مع مدينة المحرق بـ* »‬ترام*«.‬

No, trust me, things are much different these days.

Do you know, HM the King has empowered the EDB to instruct Ministries directly, i.e all Ministires are requested to take orders from the EDB.

Tram is good, but i rather seeing something like Heathrow Express in Town !!!

Ya i read about the EDB thing, good move really, cuts the red tape. I know things are different now but hey you now, they still like to talk a lot ;). Tram is a nice idea, trains or sky trains would be appreciated in the future, we'll need them.

EDB seem to take things alot more seriously than Ministries!!! So that is good to hear :okay:.

Good to hear...but i wonder when these infrastucture contruction projects will commence..They seem to be at very early stages...And why is the seef flyover taking so bloody long...!

And why does the article mention something about eliminating traffic lights!?

I thought they were installing more traffic lights, and eliminating roundabouts!!

we need this project and i wish the train flyover help us from the traffic ..

we need it specialy in north manama city and seef district .
