tq May 29th, 2005, 05:29 PM Hon Tre Island:an own small village!? :-)
The Hon Tre Tourism and Trade Company have also planned to build another four-star hotel, a Vietnamese cuisine village, a coastal environmental entertainment area stretching over 40ha of land along the south-eastern part of the island. Construction on 200 villas and a 150-hectare golf course are underway in Dam Gia. Other water sports available at the hotel such as rowing, kite surfing, and gliding are being built in the north-western part of the island. Once these projects are completed, the Hon Tre Island is expected to become an international relaxation and recreation resort, satisfying the wide ranging interests of both local and foreign tourists. A 3.5-km cable line to be installed in 2006 will narrow the distance between the island and the mainland,” said Le Khac Hiep, the company general director.

tq May 31st, 2005, 06:08 PM Foreign aviation group eyes building hangar in VN
A major foreign aviation group has recently submitted to the Prime Minister its plans for a large-scale hangar in central Vietnam to repair and maintain aircrafts, reported authorities Monday.
The Allied Aircraft Assistance Worldwide Association (AAAWA), a provider of aviation industry solutions, has proposed constructing an international centre for aircraft maintenance and repair in the Chu Lai Open Economic Zone (OEZ).
The project would have a total investment capital of US$500 million and take up an estimated 100-hectare area.
The hangar, which could house eight large aircrafts like the Airbus A380 or Boeing B787, would be capable of serving all customers in the Southeast Asian region.
The project would also be the biggest investment in the Chu Lai OEZ.
