I'm pretty sure this is somewhere in chinatown. That's what I was told anyway. Same designer as Manhattan Hotel (Denton Corker Marshall). This hotel is locally owned as well.

Yeah, but it was only up to the second or third level in July. Haven't seen any pics for the construction of this one. Might be able to get you an address though.

Seems like theyve decided to add a triangular roof on the emerging boxes...looks kinda crap now

i think the triangular roof is temporary.. as u can see on the way its being constructed and put on the box.. that doesnt look right
it's too thin to be a roof...
nice hotel.. but shit location..

SEMARANG- Puluhan warga Kelurahan Wonosari, Kecamatan Ngaliyan mendatangi PT Sango Keramik Indonesia, di daerah setempat, kemarin. Mereka mengeluhkan polusi udara yang diduga berasal dari pabrik itu.

Nasihin, warga RT 2 RW 8 mengatakan, akhir-akhir ini tercium bau tidak enak yang cukup menyengat dari pembakaran batu bara. Selain itu, juga mengeluarkan debu yang menggangu warga. Diduga bau dan debu tersebut berasal dari pabrik ini. ’’Kami mendatangi pabrik ini meminta supaya bau menyengat itu hilang. Dikhawatirkan, jika tidak segera diatasi dapat mengganggu kesehatan warga,’’ katanya.

Dia mengatakan, apabila pertemuan ini tidak menimbulkan titik temu, warga mengancam akan menggelar unjuk rasa yang lebih besar lagi. ’’Kami sudah menemui anggota DPRD. Kami disarankan untuk membuat surat aduan,’’ ujarnya. Keluhan serupa dikemukakan Bram Sakti, warga RT 6 RW 9, Kelurahan Wonosari. Menurutnya, pabrik tersebut mengeluarkan asap sehingga mengakibatkan rasa pusing. Baunya seperti bau korek gas.

’’Tuntutan kami hanya polusi udara jangan sampai mengeluarkan bau dan debu. Kami minta tolong baunya dihilangkan atau dikurangi.’’Wartawan yang hendak melakukan peliputan di pabrik itu oleh petugas keamaan hanya diminta menunggu di ruang tunggu. Bahkan ketika hendak dikonfirmasikan dengan pemilik perusahaan itu, Ari Hendrianto, kepala jaga PT Sango Keramik Indonesia mengatakan, pimpinan tidak bersedia memberikan keterangan kepada wartawan.

Terpisah, Camat Ngaliyan Supratono mengatakan, pihaknya belum menerima laporan tentang aksi unjuk rasa tersebut. Untuk itu, ia akan melakukan klarifikasi terlebih dahulu. (H3-56)
