I was in Dayton for a week for a conference and I had mixed feelings. Dayton downtown has so much potential--but I think the state, county & city politics is what is killing Dayton. Dayton has 160,000 with 1.1 million in the metro area. What's wrong with this picture? Dayton is going to be outvoted by the surrounding communities due to the population ratio--I suggest Dayton start annexing so the township folks who abuses Dayton as they drive their a la Hummer thru the city ripping the roads up and avoid paying taxes. I wonder if Greene or Troy County pays for amenities that are located in Montgomery County. Talk about Sprawl-ville!
