Beautiful pictures, I wouldn't mind having some of those buildings in my hometown, lol

Very interesting city. It seems that it's a great location for nightlife. I'm sure there are some great parties every night in Portland. :D
The urban life seems really nice. The streets look extremely nice and clean, the buildings have this nice 'welcoming' look to them. I would like to visit Portland in the near future.

Thank you very much for showing us all these great pictures.

Portland is the way it is because of something very rare in America: liberals won. Instead of right-wingers destroying a city with crude and endless suburbs, a real city was protected and nurtured. Portland is not an accident. It required careful attention. Remember this the next time a conservative talks about "freedom". He really means the freedom to pillage the landscape and ruin our cities.

Although portland is a really nice city, I think its nightlife is severely lacking. On multiple visits there, it was hard to find a spot that was poppin after midnight. A lot of my friends from school who are from Oregon say Seattle is light years ahead of Portland when it comes to the nightlife scene.

I get the feel that Portland is a very young city, in terms of the age of its population. Is that true? Are there a lot of universities located there?

Why isn't there a Portland construction thread in here? Seems like PDX gets zero representation on here. I think it really needs a couple of nice modern towers above 400 feet to spice up the skyline a bit. Hopefully some good stuff is in the pipeline.
