In this forum always is used english to communicate, but we must think spanish is another important language of comunication all over the world, i ve not found at the moment rules in this forum to have the obligation to speak only in english, i say all spanish speakers to comunicate in spanish and put their threads in spanish and english, fot the oficiality of the 2 languages, the ofitial languages of the world.
bilingual comunication yet!!!!!!

-------------

Moncloa, you know well that globally Spanish is an importance language, without a doubt, however, the international language is English. It is is the language tha many students in all parts of the world study.

It is more simple for the forums and for the forumers to habe one common language, which is English.

I don't like the idea of mandatorily making bilingual threads on the forum for the reasons that Don Qui stated....

BUT.... I think those that want to make bilingual threads in the Skybar (English + Other) definitely should as it would help others to pick up those languages too. If forumers posted the same sentence in two languages like Don Qui just did, I think that'd be great!

yes but not everybody speak english or they dont speak english fluently, at this way practically the 100 x cent of the people of this forum could comunicate

I'm sure far less of the forum speak Spanish or Dutch though....

Anyway, I have no objection to you or anyone posting the same thing in two languages, as I think it's helpful, but I think English should remain the primary language of communication on the main forum

English is the language used by everyone here and more comprehensible than others... So I think that's the language to use :)

A german user posted blilingual as well. First in german and than very small in english. Does anybody remember him?

<sarkasme>Haha.

- Get real guys. Using other languages than English in an international forum is ridiculous.

EN: Yeah, I can not understand what other people have written. If you want to speak in another language, please go to the local forums

I am not from Sweden or Scandinavia, but I understand a little Swedish because I am learning it now.

that would make a babel tower of SSC! If you can use Spanish, I can use POrtuguese, the Dutch can use Dutch, etc.

NOR: Imponerende.

US: Impressive. What I am trying to point out here is how ridiculous it gets if people start using their own languages on an international forum.

That's the dumbest idea I've heard since someone wanted to ban all the people under 18
Why Spanish? Seems like a nationalistic idea to me. When did it become the world's 2nd official language? My Spanish is crappy as hell, I don't want to speak it, I know other languages instead.
On top of that, you have local subforums to use other languages.
And if you've managed to register on SSC, I think you must know English ;)

im going to say to you why spanish...cause i think is the 4 language more spoken of the worl after chinese, arabian and english....you can speak in german or your tongue language, but more people is going to understand you if you do it in spanish, the 2 occidental language in importance with a big apogee and its winning distance to english, thats the reason....

Even tho Spanish is an important language, what abt the others. There are tons of Chinese/Taiwanese/HK forumers as well. What if they posted in Chinese? Same with the French, Polish and other guys.

IMHO, its a waste of bandwidth, typing in two languages.

I THINK to learn a language is culture, the vast part of english speakers dont make an effort to learn another language as if they think they can go everywhere speaking english, it is a "closed minded" idea....
I think spanish speakers want to make an effort to put the spanish where it merits, english is the language used to communicate, but nobody says it must be the compulsory in this forum, I think if spanish and english are sponek equally in this forum we can reach practically the 100 x cent of the readers

Saludos :hi:

Well you can do it if you want obviously, but I don't think it should be compulsory.

moncloa23
June 1st, 2005, 06:28 PM
no he dicho que tenga que ser obligatorio, pero puede ser bueno para alcanzar al 100 x cien de los lectores, ya que no todo el mundo habla ingles fluidamente, en el caso de mi pais, españa, montones de gente no hace comentarios en el foro internacional porque no hablan ingles, seria facil para facilitar la comunicacion entre todos nosotros//////////i´ve not said it must be compulsory, but it must be good for reach the 100 x 100 of the readers, as if not everybody speaks english fluently, in the case of my country, spain, lots of people dont make coments in the international forum cause they dont speak english....it would be easier to facilitate the comunication between all of us.
