I think Diamond nowadays have this kind of scheme where they allow you to use it free for a certain period of month n if you like what you see, then only they will ask you to pay. If not you can always return it back...

Let me check n revert it back to you.

Panasonic also has one water filter. I saw it at Best Denki 1 Utama. Small size but cost a whopping 2.5k, which is even expensive than Diamond.

That thing is very small. Smaller than an A4 size paper actually...i think. The price is actually Rm2299. ;)

Isnt that Diamond n NESH kinda like the same? But for both you can hide it underneath the sink, which I personally think is a better choice, cause both product kinda like big n bulky a bit. while the Panasonic one is small enough n just nice to be place next to the sink.

I suggest boiling water with kettle - seriously.......unless your pipe always got those brown sendiments then no choice lah. i personally drink filter water, but not these new generation electrical filter water. mine is still the big tank with all the rocks & stones.

i personally dont like boil water, but not too sure if i need such an hightech water system.

both of you guys both a samsung 2 door side-by-side model! hehhehee... i did too but i bought the one with the digital controls on the outside. dark grey/silver finish.... very very happy with the fridge. i bought it when samsung was having a trade in offer. they say trade in an 2 door fridge and get rm600 off! so i went to a fridge junk shop near my house and bought a very old no longer working 2 door fridge for rm50! hehehe....

and i got to claim the rm600 off! hehehe.....

IN fact getting a Hilux is not bad too considering it is Diesel-powered (means cheaper running cost) and that the new Hilux is almost (if not better) than some sedans. Cover the back part (the open air pick-up) and you'll get a huge 'trunk'. Since the space is physically isolated from the passenger cabin, transporting durian wouldn't be any problem :D

actually after serious consideration I opt for I-DSI rather than VTEC; due to the fuel consumption. A full tank I-DSI allow me to go maximum of 700km. Which is okay for me ;)

I went to Rozel & booked a 3 seater leather sofa, full leather imported from Italy & it cost RM2,999. That means it is the same cost per butt.... hehehe... not too bad right?

the interest rate is at 2.4-2.5%pa which is good i think.... but i can get staff rate at 2% but not gonna do that because small difference and better flexibility if i take outside loan later on.... hehehe....

the showroom near dang wangi putra LRT station.... in front of the DBKL fake waterfall at the foot of bukit nenas... hehehe....

That is very true indeed!! You are also a banker I guess?? With all these financial advice??... yeah, that was why we didnt spend on small item. The budget allocation for us was for much bigger stuffs. For example, instead of spending 6-8k on taps (like you mentioned), we opted to change the whole tiles in the bathroom, while using the existing taps & utensils. We think it will make a much bigger impression when one walks into the bathroom as it has a totally different ambience. People usually see the big things, not the small taps you have hanging everywhere.

Lighting for example, in our current apartment, we have actually over bought a few lamps, which we ultimately didnt quite use them as there are already ceiling lights. So, for our new place, we decided to sell off all our lamps, & install only down lights. Trust me, the ambience is completely different. For that matter, the cost is even cheaper.

So for us, all the reno budget is spent around big items like cabinets, curtain, wall color, flooring & lighting. We dont spend much on appliances, taps, or door knobs etc...

OK, just our 2 cents worth.

the interest rate is at 2.4-2.5%pa which is good i think.... but i can get staff rate at 2% but not gonna do that because small difference and better flexibility if i take outside loan later on.... hehehe....

I think the current taps are more than okay. Beside it got that 'Seri Maya' logo :D which I personally think is cool enough.

The jakuzzis use timer according to the guard. So few jakuzzis will be on at certain time according to their schedule. Anyway if it is off, you can always ask the guard to switch it on for you I guess.

Maybe about 2 pm le.. just go lepak a bit... anyway, my 2nd bathroom door is normal wood door, not the sliding type I saw on the showroom, so dont plan on changing them. Only the tiles, lighting & table top. That was why we intend to put mixer also since we are going to tear down the tiles anyway, the extra cost is not much. Otherwise, we would have settled with instant water heater.

I think it is the same, I mean all the single storey unit has the 2nd bathroom come with sliding door, not sure about Havanna though,... we were pleasantly surprised to know that ours was a wooden door, so can save some money there. If you want to have wooden door instead of the sliding door, please let me know as I will be throwing our wooden door for the kitchen. We intend to make the entrance slightly bigger with a nice wooden arch, & keep it open.

Really? When I met him I can't recall if he did complain abt the leaking bathroom. Anyway he did complained abt how dusty his lanai is as his unit is facing the linear park, and he has to endure this until all the construction works of Savannah is completed in 2008...

i was actually thinking of downlight at first. but to have downlight, you need to do plaster ceiling. which will cost even more. :bash:

i agree that downlight is much nicer, my current house has only downlight. thanks to my mum who spend on it when we move in years back.

but for SM i think i will just go for wall lights. but not too many or too fancy.
prefer all plain and simple, easier to match.

no doubt is nice... i saw Cendana with all the Grohe taps. :banana: but dont really think is worth it. im sure there are other brands. If you say rm1k for the masterbedroom shower head and mixer. ithink is okay, but rm2.5k frm Grohe is not worth it.

i suppose is like buying a Car. u can get a Gen2 or a City. some ppl will never buy a Gen2 for all the bad publicity. some ppl will get a City and suffer financially just because is a Honda. ... just different ppl different opinion and preceptions of things.

i actually want to change the basin to a tempered glass basin.
build a cabinet below, and he basin is standing on top.
