Diamond? ..or how about Panasonic? ZaHiRnYa??? June 6th, 2005, 10:22 AM or are you looking for the big water filter for the whole house or just the small one for the kitchen usage? Raymond Koh June 6th, 2005, 10:32 AM For the kitchen usage only, thought Diamond could be a little expensive right? I heard was over 1k, dunno la, never buy this before. Dont even know the difference... Panasonic? never heard before that they have this stuffs... ZaHiRnYa??? June 6th, 2005, 10:43 AM For the kitchen usage only, thought Diamond could be a little expensive right? I heard was over 1k, dunno la, never buy this before. Dont even know the difference... Panasonic? never heard before that they have this stuffs... I think Diamond nowadays have this kind of scheme where they allow you to use it free for a certain period of month n if you like what you see, then only they will ask you to pay. If not you can always return it back... Let me check n revert it back to you. Panasonic also has one water filter. I saw it at Best Denki 1 Utama. Small size but cost a whopping 2.5k, which is even expensive than Diamond. ZaHiRnYa??? June 6th, 2005, 11:03 AM http://panasonic.com.my/products/health_beauty/images/PJ_A36.jpg This is the Panasonic product I'm talking about. But this one actually is an alkaline ionizer. Model : PJ-A36 Raymond Koh June 6th, 2005, 11:14 AM http://panasonic.com.my/products/health_beauty/images/PJ_A36.jpg This is the Panasonic product I'm talking about. But this one actually is an alkaline ionizer. Model : PJ-A36 Very changgih looking indeed, but 2.5k?? Crazy la, will definitely check out on Diamond. Also, saw NESH ad, dunno good or not. ZaHiRnYa??? June 6th, 2005, 11:22 AM Very changgih looking indeed, but 2.5k?? Crazy la, will definitely check out on Diamond. Also, saw NESH ad, dunno good or not. That thing is very small. Smaller than an A4 size paper actually...i think. The price is actually Rm2299. ;) Isnt that Diamond n NESH kinda like the same? But for both you can hide it underneath the sink, which I personally think is a better choice, cause both product kinda like big n bulky a bit. while the Panasonic one is small enough n just nice to be place next to the sink. ZaHiRnYa??? June 6th, 2005, 11:44 AM How bout the washing machine n dryer? I suggest boiling water with kettle - seriously.......unless your pipe always got those brown sendiments then no choice lah. Afterall you go outside mamak and drink you think they give Diamond water ah? :D A little bacteria won't kill lah ..........too clean and it would work against your immune system. :D utopia0 June 6th, 2005, 05:59 PM Hmmmmm......the Diamond filter at home I got cost about RM2800 if I am not mistaken......I'd better check with my mom :D But for sure I know it is above RM2000.....somemore after sometime.....you have to change the filter and stuffs.......so filtering water is kinda expensive (I am SO against my mom buying it but my aunt kept pestering). Do you guys think 25litres is big enough for the master bathroom or should I go for a smaller or bigger capacity one? I am taking the same size too but forgot the brand la,,, the designer choose... heheheee no worries! Raymond Koh June 8th, 2005, 05:18 AM Its the one they are promoting now right? One washer n one dryer. Yes, exactly. The problem with 2-in-1 is you can only dry half of the full load you wash. So, if you want to wash & dry at one go, you can only half load the washing... I thought, aiyah... dont plan on washing twice & since kids are growing (hehehe), might as well get a big one for the future. ZaHiRnYa??? June 8th, 2005, 05:19 AM There is another small capacity. Damn expensive  Anybody considering leather sofa instead? It is more long lasting, look nicer & cooler in the day. If you break down the maths, a 2 seater from Ikea cost RM1999, that is like 1k per butt (pardon my analogy!). I went to Rozel & booked a 3 seater leather sofa, full leather imported from Italy & it cost RM2,999. That means it is the same cost per butt.... hehehe... not too bad right? ZaHiRnYa??? It is more long lasting, look nicer & cooler in the day. If you break down the maths, a 2 seater from Ikea cost RM1999, that is like 1k per butt (pardon my analogy!). I went to Rozel & booked a 3 seater leather sofa, full leather imported from Italy & it cost RM2,999. That means it is the same cost per butt.... hehehe... not too bad right? my fiancee and i looking at L shape leather. think will cost around 3 - 4k. went to Lorenzo, saw some nice ones.... but the size too big. the lady ask me go to other branch to check, but im not in a rush yet. so will only check it out again next year. most likely order around their 2006 july sale. then can keep with them for few month until collect key. utopia0 June 8th, 2005, 02:11 PM We should go out for a drink ;) Bila? mana? fariq, Seri Maya macam bankers private :) lodge utopia0 June 8th, 2005, 02:12 PM Aiyah! FYI, Lorenzo is actually a Malaysian company and their sofas are mostly made in China. I really thought they were italians. hehehhe.... You are also a banker I guess?? With all these financial advice??... yeah, that was why we didnt spend on small item. The budget allocation for us was for much bigger stuffs. For example, instead of spending 6-8k on taps (like you mentioned), we opted to change the whole tiles in the bathroom, while using the existing taps & utensils. We think it will make a much bigger impression when one walks into the bathroom as it has a totally different ambience. People usually see the big things, not the small taps you have hanging everywhere. Lighting for example, in our current apartment, we have actually over bought a few lamps, which we ultimately didnt quite use them as there are already ceiling lights. So, for our new place, we decided to sell off all our lamps, & install only down lights. Trust me, the ambience is completely different. For that matter, the cost is even cheaper. So for us, all the reno budget is spent around big items like cabinets, curtain, wall color, flooring & lighting. We dont spend much on appliances, taps, or door knobs etc... OK, just our 2 cents worth. cheers! ZaHiRnYa??? June 9th, 2005, 03:28 AM fariq, where u got your bed? Sri Petaling. There is one row of furniture mall on you right side if you coming from KL.
