We have waited in anticipation for the new tower in Center City which is designated to be the tallest tower in Philadelphia, and the tallest between NYC and Chicago. However the tower will stand 975 feet. I've always had this on my mind, but shouldn't the Comcast Center be at least 1000 feet, not 975, because all that does is that we're not asserting ourselves that we can really build such a tall tower, despite the good designs. I mean if NYC, Chicago, LA, Houston, and Atlanta can have 1000+ feet towers, why should we miss out on it. I see this as our oppurtunity to join this prestigious 1000+ feet club (no spire on the Comcast Center please, just pure height), by adding a couple more floors, used either as observation decks and rental spaces. What do you think???

I think it should hit 1000.

You guys need to make a petition or raise money or something!
An observation deck would be perfect! :)

Need to hit 1000 but I really don't like the design. Looks too boxy to me.

It would be nice but it won't be built and inch taller than Comcast needs and they're not adding 25 feet just because a bunch of a skyscraper geeks on the internet want them to.

Although it would be very, very nice.

It does seem a bit wimpy to just cut short at 975. 1000 is so much more of a round symbollic number. Heck, just add a taller mast to the top!

I think 975 feet is exactly how tall it should be... It is the perfect hight for teh tallest building in Philly, atleast for right now.
