Upon completion, Milwaukee's City Hall was the third-tallest building in the world. It opened in in 1898 at a 'soaring' 350 feet. It's fifteen minutes of fame came in the 1970's, when it was featured in the opening credits of Lavergne & Shirley, a popular US Sitcom. For those who remember the show, the "Welcome to Milwaukee" sign has been removed, but City Hall still serves as a major point of interest downtown.

8 1/2! i like it a lot, it is nice to have a historic city hall that is tall enough to make an impression on the skyline.

350 feet = about 100 meters, more or less.
