Yes it is a concrete mixing plant, and those storage tanks might be holding some oxygen ( some expert in construction can elaborate better). Also for one other friend TC in my understanding stands for Tower Crane too.

thanks kbboy for the advise regarding uploading.i was having abit of a problem but now sorted.
if you look at the first image which is a computer generated picture shows the names of 7 towers out off 17 in total.
these 7 towers are under construction as you will see in the following photos.
after reading some of the posts there is alot of speculation saying that the towers are not going to be built.I can confirm that all 17 towers will be built and most of them will be finished by end 2009.
ground work digging/levelling is being done for the remainder 10 tower before they can start the piling process.
two of the tower on lake side are completly sold out.
also the prices have gone up since the first of october 2007.before they were selling at RS 4000 per sq ft.
now RS 4200 per sq ft.

:okay: i just have seen the profile of A-Faisal he is inactive since September of last year. this guy could be really helpful :ohno: may be they wont be able to deliver this project next year by some chance but I personally very confident that this project will be completed soon. If they had sold out two towers last year, would have covered at least 2-3 more towers till date. So they have money, keep your fingers crossed oceanbound!

Yup. i am guessing but look he said there hardly 4 to 5 workers. That means the project is not stop completely. There are lots of people who are from these areas & they all go back to settled their families somewhere.

Only two in this project ... The other 2-3 buildings were went up to only two levels and come to a complete stop two years ago. The world trade center is also under construction located near to this project and they hardly get to the ground level by now.

According to Google Maps, 5 of them are U/C. 3 of them are above ground level..

but this google image is about one year old

so they are not making 17 towers as per original plan

It's a pretty decent quality building. It's not Dubai standard, but it's built to a good Pakistani standard.

Usually in Pakistan, it seems as if most projects turn out to be more worse looking than their renders (i.e. creek city res towers).

^^ Don't worry if you don't like this, it will not hurt the beauty of Islamabad the location is atleast 15 KMs from Blue Area Islamabad. It is on GT Road going towards Jhelum but within Defence Housing Authority.

I don't get it, it looks just like the render remember it's not finished yet. Also I'm pretty sure the other buildings are going to be much better then this.

mashalla pretty good building. I like its simplicity. In no way it looks like a prison.

If you look at Page 1 of this thread you can see that this building is different from the original renders. It seems like they may have tried to save costs by cutting out all the decorative stuff.

In my view the building is not ugly but it is not as nice as they promised. It's the quality of local builders. There are countless such buildings in Karachi.

Since this project was launched the property market in Pakistan has crashed so we should be thankful that at least something is being built.

Yup and I bet people paid loads for this.

Not too bad though better than nothing at all. I think Ghurair has some more projects in the area let's see how they turn out.

Dont really like the flooring. The tiles should be placed if the customer wants them. There should always be a place for customization according to customers needs. Plus we tend to have heavy furniture in our houses, these tiles will get scratched or broken. I would rather see a wooden flooring or atleast marble. these tiles make the whole house look like a washroom.
