get13 June 6th, 2005, 06:38 PM Come on now Gothic it needs to go. Can't it be replaced with something like:
"Development in Scotland's largest city" or "Scotland with Style"
Please vote in the poll. Should it stay or should it go, post your views.

PS - If I win can I get a day out with former MP Peter Duncan instead?
gleegie June 7th, 2005, 12:27 AM We were discussing this elsewhere, Glasgow 2097 won with,
"It's dirty, and you want it"
My own,
"Glasgow, not Edinburgh" amused me.
The Boy David June 7th, 2005, 01:06 AM Yeah definately - we've been moaning about that bastarding tag for ages.
I would agree that
"Its dirty and you want it" and "Glasgow, not Edinburgh" are the best ones
I would have to go for "Its dirty and you want it"
space_invader June 7th, 2005, 12:55 PM I don't think mentioning Edinburgh would do us any favours.
petty, small-minded, parochial.
please don't do it - it's as bad as 'Scotland the Brave'
Development in Scotland's largest city is fine IMO.

Achh pipe down matey - I very much doubt that Gleegie intended it to be a jibe at Edinburgh - all of the folks on this forum are well past all that "Like Glasgow? Hate Edinburgh" nonsense. (I hope.....)
A bit of fun is all :).
gweilo June 7th, 2005, 06:37 PM What about Glas you go girl! Or is that just too gay to function?
Just kidding!
Seriously just drop the brave bit and I'm sure we'd all be happy.
crusty_bint June 7th, 2005, 07:04 PM What about Glas you go girl!
:hahaha: or how about "Glesga... get it up ye!"?
gothicform June 7th, 2005, 07:48 PM you should thank god youre not greek, i gave them the sub title - greece is the word. lol
murdomac June 7th, 2005, 08:35 PM How about ' You'll have had your planning consent then?'
Or ' Glasgow, by the way.'
M_Riaz June 7th, 2005, 10:25 PM how bout Glesga ...Pure Dead Brilliant :|
maccoinnich June 7th, 2005, 11:02 PM How about ' You'll have had your planning consent then?'
:) That should be left for a future Edinburgh forum.
space_invader June 10th, 2005, 01:54 PM Boy David:
sometimes you have to be very clear on this forum, subtle jokes are not easily detected on line, hence my plea to ignore 'ropey' suggestions, whether jokey or not. It was not a criticism of Gleegie however, but I'm sure he'll appreciate yer tag-team smackdown! ;)
Ah mean Gothic actually thought it was reasonable to put 'Scotland the Brave's etc..." as a tagline.
What about "Scotland, but wi mair slashings per square metre an' less soap" ?
Accura4Matalan June 10th, 2005, 01:59 PM I'm liking the new title.
Be_Happy June 10th, 2005, 02:04 PM "Architecture, Design and Urban Development in Scotland's largest city."
:) This will do.
resistme June 10th, 2005, 02:19 PM how bout Glesga ...Pure Dead Brilliant :|
