A typical French apartment building. Many of its apartments are now being restored.

View from the east on Nguyen Du:

View from the corner of Nguyen Du and rue Pasteur. Pasteur Court is a few blocks up on the right:

Some interesting sun shades at ground level:

Now we go behind the main facade and into the courtyard; the building has the typical shape of a U. An interior staircase:

No views from here though, so we have to go around to an external staircase.

Finally we make it to the top, and look down:

Diamond Plaza, to the NE:

Kindergarden (notice how strangely cut off it is!) on the corner of Nguyen Du and Pasteur, on the other side of the street from the spot where I took the first photo:

The Laotian consulate, to the south on Pasteur:

I saw this building in one of my photo taken during the 50s from air, not sure what the building is for.......surprised it's an apartment.
