There is a youth hostel at Mount Davis with a nice view of the Victoria Peak's west side : http://www.yha.org.hk/eng/index.jsp?id=services

It's a long hike up the hill, but they have a free shuttle bus to Shun Tak.

The weather was great during the time I was there (as I heard it was raining a lot a few days earlier)

generally hot but it can also change suddenly to cloudy and a bit of drizzle.

At night it is cooler though, about 24-25 I think

Sounds like a beautiful night view.

If I go to HK again, who can I meet to walk me up there? :)

I think most of the local HK populace would prefer the Chinese-language forums; that's why. I think the foreign-located HKers are more comfortable with English since they use it a lot more in USA, UK, etc.
