well, the whole project (phase 1 and 2) will be greater than Taman Anggrek (better quality + higher class property), but it will take them 5 years to complete! While with Taman Anggrek, they took like 2 years to build the whole thing with 8 towers.

One more thing to mention is that Grand Indonesia is actually slightly bigger than TA in terms of retail floor area, but it doesn't have the 8 tower condominiums! It will only have a single apartment tower and a single office tower.

What's SM? Berjaya Times square is bigger than Taman Anggrek, but it's crap..
it's like an oversized Mangga Dua.. I've been there before.. Taman Anggrek is soo much better... Berjaya Times Square has more height.. 11 stories I think, but in terms of each floor size.. Taman Anggrek is bigger..

Berjaya Times Square is huge.. but it's middle to lower class... and Gluttony's description is exact.. it's an overgrown Mangga Dua.. it's a lil bit better than Mangga Dua.. the inside is like WTC mangga dua and plaza semanggi.. so yeah..

I've been to both, and I definitely have to say that MTA is heaps better.., although the rollercoaster in Berjaya Times Square is quite cool. hehehe

err,, i dont think MTA has versace.. MTA has newly-opened zara,puma,kipling,aigner,mango,etc MTA is definitely my fave for shopping.. you can have almost everything there.. n fortunately it's under 10minutes drive from my home :) so MTA is like my second home..

Mall Taman Anggrek now does not look as grand and beautiful as before, to me. When I saw the first time in the 90s, it does look grand and beautiful. I think probably because of time, and there are other better malls.

The changing of color to beige does make it look like cheaper apt.

Yeah.. MTA doesnt have anything.. we know taht.. they onlyhave an ice skating rink...

BTS may have a huge theme park or IMAX theatre.. and that's really awesome.. but by meaning high class ... u can see from the materials they use.. the tiles they use.. the sizes of the shops.. the interior linings.. little details my friend..

like if u compare the mall at the petronas towers to BTS.. i dunno what it's called.. that's a high class mall.. but it's got nothing as well..no IMAX theatre, no theme park.. just a mall.. see.. if u dont call that mall at petronas towers high class i dunno what is..

MTA has better materials put into it.. hence making it more high class.. and the way they align the shops and design the shops.. is better as well.. compared to BTS...

Hmm,Hi. I'm Malaysian. Im just here to give my views. MTA is just like another Mid Valley Megamall and One Utama kinda-like mall in Malaysia, most mid brands and yet a little part of high class brands in the mall. I'm bored with it. But in terms of High Class, nothing beats Starhill Gallery in KL. You been there, you know what is High Class. It's very different in design with other malls in SEA. No offence. But there's others malls like Starhill Gallery which sell branded goods in SEA , etc Singapore Takashimaya , Bangkok Siam Paragon , Kuala Lumpur KLCC and simply Avenue K in KL. But still , nothing beats Starhill Gallery, with its classy design.

And , MTA sure rocks to have such a big ice skating rink. Malaysia never has that big one.
