A few pictures taken by me over the last week. Sadly my camera is hopeless at focusing whenever I use the zoom, it's very frustrating. But then it is only a cheap digital camera (Olympus C310).

Unusual building on Mt Cootha, I think it is something to do with the Catholic church

AussieBhoy, the buildings on the hill in the 4th pic is Stuartholme Catholic Girls School. Typical Catholic Church to have all the best parcels of land!!!

Cull, I think the big church you may be referring to in Ipswich is a Catholic one, the tall (for Ipswich) building on the hill is the hospital. There is a plan for a 20 level building in Ipswich, which will be just to the right of the 2 pictures above.

GMAC, thanks for that, always wondered what the building was, what a good view they must have.

Its the St Stephens Church.
The 37m spire was one of the tallest structures in QLD when completed in 1857

Nice collection Aussie Bhoy - good to see some of Brisbanes suburban skylines, even if there not match for Sydney's

That Toowong Village tower looks great - is it offices? Talk about reflective!

Great pics - You wouldn't know Ipswich had 140,000 people judging by its rather small skyline - it is sure to grow with many more additions soon.

Ipswich pales in comparison to Toowoomba - a much smaller city with a bigger skyline and city feel. I think Ipswich is too close to Brisbane to feel big.
