I don't know what they're going to do with this project. The last time I heard about it, they were going to build another skyscraper on tis site, now I don't know if this project is dead or delayed. Help me out here. Another skyscraper would've been a good edition for the city of Phila.

This project is all but dead. It was an idea for GlaxoSmithKline but they're not expanding in Northa America as they had planned when this tower was proposed. There is a new project for the 16th Street side of the plot that would occupy part of the 17th & Vine site.
If this happens, we'll all be very old and gray.

I liked the High-Rise skyscraper proposed by the Hillier Group and thought it would be a good addition to the Phila skyline. I just don't want another medium sized building on that plot as we have too much of them anyways.

This project is all but dead.
Just a pet peeve of mine, but I hate this expression. Are you saying it is dead or it isn't? I never quite understood it.

All but dead is the term I use when the project has seen no activity since it was announced but nothing else has been built where it was planned to be.
It could still happen - but I'm not putting my money on it.
